| Social Scoop | Greetings {NAME}! Do you have access to Meta AI in your part of the world yet? Meta recently held its annual 'Connect' conference where they announced an array of updates around Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and, of course, AI. Let's just focus on AI updates for now as that's potentially most impactful in the business world in the foreseeable future. Mark Zuckerberg stated, “So meta AI is on track to being the most used AI assistant in the world by the end of this year. In fact, it’s probably already there…We’re almost at 500 million monthly actives, and we haven’t even launched in some of the bigger countries yet." Eh, hello? When you jam the Meta AI feature into every nook and cranny of Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp of course you can say it's the 'most used AI assistant in the world.' 🤪 In any case, here's a rundown of updates directly from Meta, complete with the emojis used in their email. 😉 We’re introducing new and improved features to Meta AI using Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. 📢 What’s New 🔊 You can talk to Meta AI and it will talk back – get advice or hear a story and choose from multiple voices including celebrity AI voices 💬 Now Meta AI can reply to photos you share in chat and tell you more about them 🖼 Meta AI can now also edit your photos, like removing or adding an object ✨ You can even ask Meta AI to replace the background of your photo to make it more fun 🤳 Meta AI’s imagine feature, imagine yourself is newly available across Feed, Stories and Profile. Use imagine yourself to easily create and share your ai-generated selfies with friends. You can even use AI captions to enhance your Stories further. 🗣 We’re experimenting with automatic video dubbing and lip syncing on Reels in different languages to make your content more accessible and help you reach new audiences. 🤓 Why? We hope these new features make Meta AI a more creative and useful assistant to you throughout your creative process. 🌎 When? Testing and rolling out across different markets over the next few weeks. Meta AI Translation is in testing with creators from the US and Latin America but we hope to expand this to more creators soon. Read more about the news [here]( as well as [@creators]() to learn more. You can also see my own [post]( on Facebook with additional updates from the Meta Connect conversation - come join the conversation. Bottom line, the exponential growth of baking AI into all the major apps we use regularly (Meta apps, Google, YouTube, Amazon, etc.) will only continue. And, as much as there are phenomenal use cases to be had, let's also strive to be mindful of any insidiousness happening here... slowly but surely eating away at our 'normal' cognitive, relational and emotional functioning. Keep building those authentic relationships, no matter what, as that's what will win at the end of the day. 💞 I'd love to hear from you - what do you think of these updates and Meta's approach to pushing AI at every opportunity? When Meta's Business AI Assistants become fully available, do you think you'll test them out for your own business?
