Almost as if you’ve suddenly outgrown the version of yourself you’ve always known, but the “new model” isn’t ready to ship yet? That’s where I’m at now. It’s wild because for well over a year, we’ve been in a major home renovation. This house is very special to me. Perfectly positioned high amongst the trees (feels like a treehouse!)… a short drive from farms, town, and the ocean — it’s my ultimate happy place. [For well over a year, we’ve been in a major home renovation.] But for a few years now — I’ve been craving more SPACE, more privacy, a better functioning kitchen, and lots more room for magic and creativity. The way I knew? I found myself getting cranky. Irritated. Angry even — like an animal that has outgrown her cave. (HINT: Never ignore your dissatisfaction. It’s not always a sign of “ungratefulness.” More often, it’s your Higher Self… your Divine Self nudging you to evolve and grow!) But as the physical renovation of my space continues, I’ve found a strange parallel happening in other areas of my life, too. My boundaries are suddenly stronger. My truth-telling abilities are sharper. My heart feels both wiser and softer. Having the courage to admit to myself that what was once good was no longer “good enough” (in terms of my physical space)... sparked a renovation domino effect on my mental, emotional, and spiritual environments, too. Here’s what I want you to know. [Any form of settling is soul-sucking. Don’t lie to yourself. You’re allowed to want more.] Because if you deny your truth, if you settle… eventually, it will make you feel dead. Lifeless. Like you’re a shell of your former self. Most of us have been trained — by our families, society, and culture at large — to just “be grateful” for what we have. To leave “good enough” alone. For some people, maybe that’s fine. But for others… For people like you and me… We’re built differently. We know our divine birthright is to live life to the fullest. To experience and enjoy every bit of this glorious adventure. To embrace our insatiable instincts for growth and evolution. Yes, you can be grateful for what you have (the apartment, the relationship, the business) and be honest about the parts you’ve outgrown, too. You can appreciate the beauty of now and embrace your desire for more — more space, more simplicity, more solitude, more support, more connection. If any part of you is feeling like you’re ready for a little “renovation” in your life, journal on these questions. See what comes up for you: If you’re being 100% honest, where are you craving something better in your life? What else could be possible in this area? (Hint: If other people have figured it out, you can too!! They’re inspiration that it’s possible!) What’s one small step you can take now to start your own “renovation” project? Make no mistake, {NAME} — you are a magnificent, Divine Being who came here to ENJOY life. To have fun. Go on adventures. Take in the beauty that exists within you and around you. To relish in your gifts and the sharing of them with others. Above all, don't settle. You were literally designed to build — and enjoy — a life of your dreams. Xoxo M.
