Nicole Kidman’s “I’m DONE” speech was extraordinarily delightful and oh-so relatable. [See it here.]( #thatfeelsbetter 🤣🤣🤣 But jokes aside, here’s what’s important. For many of us overachieving optimists, we’re taught to see the ‘bright side’ or look for the ‘silver lining’ or ‘suck it up’ and instead, focus on ‘how grateful’ we are. As helpful as those perspectives can be (heck, I use’m), sometimes they can lead us to gloss over important facts like: → You deserve better. → You get what you put up with, so if you want different, choose different. → Exasperation can be the WAKE UP CALL you need to finally make the changes you’ve been too afraid to make! Lately, I’ve been skipping around like a 7-year old with pigtails singing, “I’M DONE! I’m DONE! I’m DONE!!!” With what exactly? Here’s a tiny sample: - People pleasing - Accepting sub-par performance (folks who phone it in) - Buying sh*t I don’t need - Wanting to prove myself - Physical stuff (old books, clothes, tchotchkes, etc.) - Guilt - Most “shoulds” - Playing it safe Let me tell you, OH LORD does it feel good. 🙌 So what about you, {NAME}? Anything you might be done with? Are there emotions, behaviors, obligations, or anything else that it’s time to let go of? ✍️ Hit reply and let me know. Say whatever you want. Your secrets are safe with me. And, saying, “I’m DONE” doesn’t mean you have to take action on it. No need to completely flip the table on your business or life, unless that’s exciting and truly what’s necessary. But having the courage to say out loud how you really feel? That’s friggin’ MAGIC ✨✨ That level of self-honesty can lead to some very healthy, mature, and long-overdue life upgrades. Don’t believe me? Hit reply and give it a try :). Like me and Nicole, you’ll soon be saying, “Whew! THAT feels bettah.” With so much love 💖, Marie P.S.
