Hi {NAME}- This weekend is a solemn reminder of why we must keep the fight up for our freedoms. This past Saturday marked the one year anniversary of when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, stripping women of their right to essential health care and fundamental freedoms for the first time in 50 years. And today marks the ten year anniversary of when that very same Supreme Court issued the Shelby County v. Holder decision which gutted key protections of the 1965 Voting Rights Act (VRA) and removed federal oversight from states with a dangerous track record of voter suppression. Radical leaders in Republican-led states like here in Texas have seized on these decisions. We have seen women die because they cannot access an abortion and countless minority voters being stripped of their right to vote —because Republicans have wanted to further their reign of terror. Every dollar matters in our fight to take back the majority in the House and protect our democratic values – from Radical Republicans like Trump, McCarthy and their allies → [Donate $25 now]( [Donate Other]( [But we can fight back.]( We saw that during 2022, Americans were fed up with the Republican-led agenda of stripping essential rights away. We saw Americans go to the polls to keep the Senate blue and lead Kevin McCarthy to a razor-thin Republican majority in the House that he now can barely control of. So why this weekend is a solemn one, [it’s a reminder of what we can do when we stand together to fight for our freedoms.]( - Marc [Donate $25 now]( [Donate Other]( Pol. Adv.
