{NAME}, we can flip NY-22 blue and replace Brandon Williams. But we have to work together to get it done. [Mannion for Congress]( {NAME}, I’m John Mannion, and I’m running for Congress here in New York’s 22nd District. I hope you’ll let me share why your support is so vital to flipping this seat blue. This district is home for me, Jennifer, and our kids. My grandparents moved here from Ireland 100 years ago, looking for a better life. My father worked for 42 years at New York Central Railroad, and my mother worked for the New York Telephone Company. Jen is an Elementary Reading teacher, and I was an AP Biology and Chemistry teacher at West Genesee and the Syracuse City School District — each of us for almost 30 years. We love this community. It’s where we’ve lived our entire lives and where we chose to raise our children — we want them to be able to stay here and start their own families. [John, Jennifer, and their children]( After three decades as a public-school science teacher, I was tired of seeing things move in the wrong direction. Funding cuts and misguided policy were making it harder for kids to learn. That’s why, with the backing of thousands of grassroots supporters like you, I ran for State Senate. And together, we proved that when we bring together people in both parties, we can deliver big results for Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. Here’s just some of what I accomplished because folks like you were in my corner: ✓ I protected the drinking water supply for hundreds of thousands of families in our region by deploying new technology to combat harmful algae blooms. ✓ I secured the first cost of living increase for skilled professionals who work with individuals with disabilities. ✓ I led the fight to pass the Green Chips program and help bring Micron to Syracuse. This will create 50,000 new high-paying jobs across our region. ✓ I helped families save money by accelerating middle class tax cuts and providing property tax relief. ✓ I kept passengers safe and the Syracuse airport open so it can continue to grow to meet future demand by creating the first new police department in New York in half a century. ✓ And together, we passed laws to protect a woman’s right to make her own personal health care decisions. Now I need your help because I’m ready to take my experience to Congress and give Central New York and the Mohawk Valley a voice who can deliver for our families. Congressman Brandon Williams is the exact opposite of who we need in Congress. This community, my family, your family, shouldn’t be represented by a Wall Street millionaire who only came up here so he could start a truffle farm like the ones he saw in France. Brandon Williams is a right-wing political extremist who just doesn’t get it. He doesn’t get our economy, our way of life, or our values. ✗ While I was working to help bring Micron to the region to create those 50,000 jobs, Williams opposed the Chips program that helped attract Micron to Syracuse. ✗ Williams voted to lay off thousands of our teachers and cut healthcare for thousands of our veterans. ✗ He also voted to let politicians ban abortion with no exceptions for rape, incest, or to save a woman’s life. We need someone in Congress who will wake up every morning thinking about how to deliver for Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. Someone who will work with Democrats and Republicans to create good paying jobs, bring down costs for working families, care for our veterans, improve public safety, and guarantee a woman’s right to choose. That’s what I’ve been able to do in the State Senate, and what I’ll do in Congress. I know if we can get our campaign’s message out to voters, we can flip this seat blue and elect a champion for our families to Congress. But here’s the thing — I can’t win this alone, {NAME}. Will you help amp up our digital organizing by following my campaign on social media or chipping in what you can today so we can reach more grassroots supporters?
