[View this email in your browser](*|ARCHIVE|*) Hello! We're writing to let you know about some important changes we’re making to our [Standard Terms of Use]( (STOU), [Data Processing Addendum]( (DPA), and [Global Privacy Statement]( (GPS). These changes will take effect on January 1, 2023, and will automatically become part of our contract with you. We encourage you to review these changes at your earliest convenience. First, we’ve updated three sections of our STOU: Eligibility Requirements for accounts (Section 1); provisions regarding compliance with laws and regulations (Section 20); and global trade compliance (Section 21) in order to reflect changes in related laws and regulations, such as economic sanctions and export control. Additionally, we’re updating our DPA to address changes to the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for UK and Swiss data transfers, including incorporating the UK Addendum. We’re also updating our GPS to address new CCPA, CPRA, and other country and state requirements related to data collection, usage practices and disclosures. The GPS is now in a more easily readable format, where you can expand and close each section. You can find out more about Mailchimp’s data export compliance [here](. As always, if you have any questions about these changes, please feel free to contact us directly [here](mailto:legalnotice@mailchimplegal.zendesk.com). Thanks for being a Mailchimp customer. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
