[Maganomics]( Today’s Top Stories From the Breitbart News Desk Last night was the fourth and final night of the RNC. Donald Trump laid out a comprehensive economic vision while drawing a stark contrast to his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden. This was arguably the Maganomics speech of his presidency. Some highlights: - He vowed to create high-paying jobs and penalize American businesses that send jobs overseas. - He attacked Biden for taking donations from blue-collar workers and then shipping their jobs to China and elsewhere. - He touted the reopening of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, ending the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), pulling out of the Paris climate accord, getting America “energy independent” (drilling), cutting taxes, slashing regulation, and building the strongest economy in the history of the world. - He boasted about standing up to China when the rest of Washington let it rip us off and rob us blind. - He touted the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement and ending the “NAFTA nightmare” - He charged China with causing incalculable job loss, especially in swing states, due to his globalism. - He trashed Biden for backing the TPP, which Trump said would have been death to the American auto sector. - He noted Biden has supported handouts for illegal aliens that indirectly penalize American minorities. - He warned that Biden will raise taxes, which will certainly slow, if not totally collapse, the economic recovery. - He rounded out the economic section with this epic line: “Joe Biden’s agenda is Made in China. My agenda is MADE IN THE USA.” The President’s economic agenda is almost pitch-perfect, and never has he described it so clearly. Most of the top economic news from today fits into the main non-convention theme of the week: The economic recovery is not on solid ground, and the lack of additional aid has it teetering. MGM Resorts announced it will fire 18,000 employees – a quarter of its workforce – which is consistent with prognostications that the service and hospitality industry might never be the same. Grocery spending is also declining, which might be an indicator of other belt-tightening to come. While U.S. consumer spending was slightly elevated last month, it rose at only a fraction of the rate of the prior month. Personal income rose, while projections said it would drop. However, that could indicate that those lowest on the pay scale have been downsized and moved to unemployment. – Alex Marlow, Breitbart News Network --------------------------------------------------------------- TOP STORY [image]( [Trump Campaign: Democrats Give Housing to Illegal Migrants, Penalizing Black Americans]( President Donald Trump’s campaign used the issue of illegal immigration on Thursday to seek votes from working-class blacks.
