Do you know the #1 thing most of my clients tell me they want? “Freedom.” But nine times out of ten, when I dig deeper by asking what that looks like for them, I get a blank stare. “What do you mean? The freedom to do what I want, travel when and where I want, and make what I want.” Yes, BUT... * What do you want to do? * How much time do you want to spend working? (and not working) * Where and how do you want to travel? * How much do you really want to make ? Between you and me, I didn’t know either when I started. But I did know what I didn’t want… I didn’t want to be the entrepreneur who had to hustle non-stop to keep her business going. THAT felt like trading my 9-to-5 for an even bigger pair of golden handcuffs. And I also didn’t want to build something unfulfilling just for the sake of making money so that I could go sit by the beach and drink margaritas either. But I just couldn’t figure out the middle ground between the two. It felt like you either had to be the hard-core hustler building your empire, or the “passive income” influencer with nothing to do. So, as I usually do, I created my own path. Presenting Option Number Three… The Freedom Business™. Here are the four pillars I use to define what freedom means to me: TIME Am I working as much as I want? To me, that doesn’t mean a set number every week. Some weeks, I work less than five hours total. Other weeks, it’s a full work week. The key is that I get to work when I want to. Not when I have to. MONEY My first goal was to make enough to live the life I want and take care of my loved ones. Nowadays, my benchmark is very different: Is my income growing? Because my goals and dreams are growing? Because my business is growing, inspiring, and helping more people? Because I’m growing - with what I’m able to do and give to the world? WORK This one is easy. Do I love what I’m doing? Am I having fun...all the time? Does it feel worthwhile? LIFE As you can probably tell, I’m not aiming for work-life “balance.” I’m aiming to live the fullest life possible, the way I want. And have my business be one part of that. This means: My business and brand are a reflection of who I am and the life I live. So as I grow, my business continues to grow with me. And as a result, those around me grow too. I’m sharing my different-from-the-norm answers with you to urge you to dream outside the box too. Of course, I didn’t start here. Heck, it took me years to even figure out these answers! And then a few more years working my butt off to figure out how to actually get here. Now that I have, I want to share it with you. So over the next few days, I’m going to be talking about how I did get here. And how I set up my Freedom Business brick by virtual brick. After that, if you want even more details, in just a few more days I’ll be opening enrollment for one of my favorite courses, Freedom Decoded: My Business Behind-the-Scenes. Today, let me leave you with this: What would Freedom, including having your own Freedom Business, look like for YOU? After all, if you don’t know where you want to go...how will you get there?
