Reproductive rights are under attack across America [Lucy McBath is fighting in Congress to protect reproductive rights at the federal level. Her end-of-month fundraising deadline is Wednesday at midnight – can you pitch in to her campaign right now to help her hit her goals for May?]( [DONATE]( Hey {NAME}, It’s a scary time for women across America as Republicans continue to attack reproductive rights. Since Roe v. Wade was overturned last summer, red states have been emboldened in enacting legislation attacking women who are seeking abortions. Here are just a few examples of what’s been happening lately. In North Carolina, the Republican-led legislature voted to override a veto from Gov. Roy Cooper on a bill banning abortions after 12 weeks. This is yet another example of a dangerous law that puts pregnant women at risk – and it’s out of touch with the majority of North Carolinians who believe in pro-choice policies. Just this week, a man drove his car into and tried to set fire to a new abortion clinic in Danville, IL. The town recently banned the mailing and shipping of abortion pills, and now extremists are being emboldened to commit acts of violence. It’s clear that the GOP’s dangerous rhetoric on abortion will continue to put women and healthcare providers at risk. And on Thursday behind closed doors, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster signed a six-week abortion ban, meaning that now every southeastern state has imposed some kind of abortion ban this last year. This doesn’t just harm women in South Carolina, it cuts off abortion access for women across the South, including women here in Georgia who will now have to travel over 500 miles to Virginia for abortion services. It’s more important now than ever that we elect champions of reproductive freedom, and enshrine abortion access into federal law. Lucy will never stop fighting for access to reproductive rights here in Georgia and across the country.[Before her end-of-the-month deadline on Wednesday, will you chip in to help her hit her goals, and ensure she can continue her work to protect abortion access at the federal level?]( [CONTRIBUTE]( you, Team Lucy --------------------------------------------------------------- This email was sent to {EMAIL}.
