[Image]( [Image]( [2024 Voters Guide: Primary Election]( [Image]( Douglas County voters will soon be deciding who moves on to the November general election in the races for the County Commission, the district attorney and several state House and Senate seats. The deadline to register to vote in the Aug. 6 primary is Tuesday, July 16, and advance voting begins the next day, Wednesday, July 17. July 30 is the last day to apply for an advance voting mail ballot. In-person advance voting ends at noon on Monday, Aug. 5, and polling places will be open on the day of the election, Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All mail ballots must be postmarked by election day and received by Friday, Aug. 9, in order to be counted. There are several ballot drop box locations in Douglas County, including the Douglas County Courthouse, the Douglas County Elections Office at 711 W. 23rd St., and the {NAME} City, Eudora and Lecompton city halls.
