Swipe it for more cash flow. I spoke to a founder of a popular movie review website recently and he told me about a new community he's creating for people that are involved with fandom. You can literally find a community for anything today. OpenAI's Sam Altman has even said that communities will become even more valuable in the next decade as AI advancements push forward. Plus if you have a business, community is a great retention mechanism. I've been a big proponent of communities over the years (YPO for 4 years and EO for 7 years). As you continue to climb the mountain, the air gets thinner. If you can find a group of likeminded people that you love, you want to stick with them for as long as you can. Right now,[@neilpatel]( and I have an agency owner's peer group called the 'Agency Owner's Association'. We host it on Skool and it's currently doing $6,400/mo. The current pricing is $199/mo with no commitments at the moment. Here's how we plan on growing it: 1. Podcast ads I'm fortunate enough to have two podcasts, Marketing School and Leveling Up. We also push the podcasts over to YouTube for better organic distribution. To promote the group, we have a 30-second midroll. I record it via video so we can push it to both YT and the audio pod. The key thing is rotating your creative every 2-4 weeks or so. We'll include key wins, new features, new member announcements, and more to keep people from having banner blindness. 2. Price increases This is a temporary thing as we can't increase the prices indefinitely. But the thought here is that the price will be cheaper initially as we add members. As the group grows, we'll continue to add more features to make it more valuable. The growth of the group will also make the network more valuable. 3. Getting on podcasts There are a ton of agency podcasts out there today. It's easy for Neil and I to go out there and share our learnings while plugging the group because, well, agency owners are listening. An additional bonus is that we get more content to chop up for short-form videos. 4. Email lists Whether it's using our e-mail list or buying ads on other email lists, it's one of the best ways to promote a product or service. If it's your list, you can rotate different offers or change up the creative as frequently as you'd like. 5. Webinars We'd also promote webinars to our e-mail lists as well as drive ad traffic to the webinars. Yes, webinars still work today. If you can do partner webinars with companies that have an agency audience, even better. 6. Change up the offers Sure, we can share different templates around hiring, sales, marketing, operations, etc. but they're not exactly the best type of opt-ins because people are just there to get a template. We're better off promoting 'how-to's' because it shows off our expertise. This is why webinars and VSLs are great. To sum it up, this is all just the beginning. I think we can get this group to $300-400k/mo in due time. I'll continue to share our progress. Stay tuned.
