Our momentum is growing. Want to join us? [Leaders We Deserve]( {NAME}, Leaders We Deserve and our co-founders, David Hogg and Kevin Lata, got featured in Fast Company for the work we’re doing to elect more young people: [Can we count on you to join this movement to support the next generation of bold, progressive leadership? Donate $5 right now to power our work ]( The Fast Company article covered a lot of ground, but here are some highlights: - After surviving a school shooting at his high school in Parkland, Florida, David Hogg helped launch a student-led non-profit, March for Our Lives. - David enrolled at Harvard, where he learned the history of conservative political movements and how they were playing the long game, winning state legislatures and appointing far-right judges, to beat progressives. - In 2022, David supported the election of Maxwell Frost, the first Gen Z member of Congress, alongside his young campaign manager Kevin Lata. - In 2023, David and Kevin founded Leaders We Deserve, an organization dedicated to electing the next generation of progressive political leaders. In addition to highlighting the story of Leaders We Deserve, the Fast Company article also featured Anna Thomas, Allie Phillips, and Ashwin Ramaswami, just a few of our endorsed candidates who are running in state legislative races this year. Fast Company called Gen Z “the most politically engaged generation we’ve ever seen” and all of us here at Leaders We Deserve couldn’t agree more. We see it in action every day with our incredible candidates and the young people who are stepping up to do the work volunteering on these history-making campaigns. It’s pretty awesome to get featured in a national magazine — and hopefully, the media attention brings even more fired-up supporters into our organization! [Our work is just getting started, {NAME}.
