Progressives are winning. [Leaders We Deserve]( Oscar De Los Santos just won his primary in Arizona! With 2,197 votes, our endorsed candidate Oscar has clinched the Democratic nomination for the District 11 seat in the Arizona House of Representatives. Oscar has led a people-powered campaign focused on the issues that matter most to the everyday folks of Arizona. And he won! [Will you join us in congratulating him on a hard-fought victory by signing Oscar’s card, {NAME}?]( Oscar is a former public school teacher, a Rhodes Scholar, Yale Law grad and one of the most progressive members of the Arizona House of Representatives. In fact when I was first calling Oscar to let him know we were endorsing him he couldn’t pick up and texted me “Sorry I cant talk- repealing the abortion ban rn.” Now THAT is a Leader We Deserve. Unfortunately, Oscar had a serious challenge by an anti-abortion Democrat in his primary so we all came in and helped support him. He fought like hell to repeal Arizona’s 1864 abortion ban — and won. The MAGA Republicans who control the Arizona House see him as a clear threat and want to see him out of office. It’s time to fight back. With a clear and commanding margin, Oscar now advances to the general election. Arizona will be home to one of the most competitive Senate races in the country this fall (and the presidential is competitive here too). We’re proud to continue to support Oscar as he campaigns for the Democratic ticket in the south side of Phoenix — we’ll be there every step of the way. For now, let’s congratulate him on a job well done!
