This is a pivotal moment for our country and the Democratic Party. [Leaders We Deserve]( {NAME}, President Biden is no longer the Democratic nominee. This is a pivotal moment for our country and the Democratic Party. I want to share my thoughts with you, but first I want to take a moment to thank President Biden for everything that he has done for our country during his long record of public service. From passing the largest investment in fighting climate change in our nation’s history to pushing for student debt cancellation, significant gun reform, and more – I can honestly say that his presidency has been one of record achievement and historic success. As he leaves the race, I hope he is as proud as I am of everything that he has accomplished over the past four years for the American people. Today, I am thankful that President Biden is doing what he thinks is best for the country and the fight for our democracy by passing the torch to a new generation of Democratic leadership. We’re ready to support the new Democratic ticket – along with the young progressive leaders we’re electing all across the country this year. [Can you make a contribution now to support Leaders We Deserve? The work we are doing is building the foundation for the future of our party and nation.]( President Biden reminds us of the power of starting in politics so young. Elected to the Senate at just 29 years old, he gained over 50 years experience which helped make him one of the most successful presidents in modern American history. He understands that power too. Just a week after the launch of Leaders We Deserve, he called me directly to tell me how excited he was about this movement. (It’s a crazy story — I was in the airport when he called and I was shaking so hard when he was giving me his assistant’s phone number to set up a future meeting, he had to repeat the phone number to me four times because I couldn’t write it down correctly haha) State by state and race by race, we’re building a bench of young leaders who WILL be the future of the Democratic Party. Just like Joe Biden was 50 years ago. In fact, I bet that one of our candidates will be President someday. Because of your support, we elected Molly Cook to the Texas State House supporting her campaign with over $300,000 spent, she won by just 64 votes, and now she’s a rising star in the Democratic Party. We are going to elect even more young leaders this November with your support. It has never been more important to invest in down-ballot Democrats who can hold the line and build the future that we deserve, where we elect leaders who truly represent us and who will live to see the effects of their policy choices. [In this historic moment, it’s absolutely critical that we rally behind the next generation of leadership. Will you rush in a $5 contribution to help Leaders We Deserve elect progressive young candidates and build our bench?]( [Donate $5 »]( Now is the time to step up and chip in.
