It’s unacceptable, and under Republicans, it’ll get worse. [To unsubscribe click here.]( Team, New data shows that in 2023 – the first full year where abortion rights were not protected by Roe v. Wade – over 170,000 people were forced to travel across state lines to obtain abortion services, double the number from 2020. The reason is clear: Right now in America, abortion access is either banned or severely curtailed in nearly half of states. In the south in particular, women have to travel hundreds of miles to reach a state where they can obtain care. It isn’t just patients who are forced to travel, either. Every month, I drive several hours to Minnesota to practice medicine and treat patients – a drive I took up while abortion was banned here in Wisconsin. No one should have to leave home in order to get the care they need, or worse, to go without it entirely. But that’s what’s happening under Trump’s abortion bans. [We need to put an end to this. In Congress, I’ll work to codify protection for reproductive health care. Please, pitch in to my campaign right now.]( If Donald Trump wins again – and gets a rubber stamp in Congress, which my opponent has promised to be – it’ll get worse. Project 2025 would create a national abortion database to track pregnant women, overrule medical experts at the FDA and reverse approval of the abortion pill, and even attack contraception access. It’s a nightmare for public health, and for women. [We can stop it – but we need to win. Please, chip in to my campaign for Congress right now >>]( Thank you, Kristin Lyerly [Contribute]( PAID FOR BY KRISTIN LYERLY FOR CONGRESS If you'd like to unsubscribe you can [click here.]( Checks can be sent to Friends of Kristin for Wisconsin at 1794 Allouez Ave Ste C #133 Green Bay, WI 54311
