Knit Pick's Quarterly News!] Ask the Knitters This quarter, we're asking, what is your best advice to share with new knitters? [ANSWER HERE!]( We'll share some of our favorite answers in the next Stash Dive. Even for knitters who work on projects year-round, the start of [autumn]( feels like the official start of knitting season! With a plethora of knitting events to attend, new projects to cast on, and [podcasts]( videos, and social media to look at, it’s easy to miss some amazing bits of knitting fun, so we’re looking back at some of our favorite things we’ve shared in the past handful of months. Learning Center [Image: Eight skeins and balls of yarn in solid colors lining the top of the banner with tails of string draping downwards. >>]( Knit Picks regularly adds educational content on our site. We recently updated two essential pages in our Learning Center. First, we revisited our [Guide to Yarn]( to provide more detailed information on each fiber type, including care details, the ideal seasons for wearing them, the kinds of projects each is best suited for, special characteristics, and our suggestions for yarns in that fiber to try and more. [Visit our Guide to Yarn to see it all!]( Not to be outdone by the Guide to Yarn, we also expanded our [About Our Needles]( in the Learning Center! It now tells you the best attributes of each needle material, outlines what the different needle types are best used for, and more. YouTube & Podcasts [Image: Our two lovely Knit Pick team members Lee and Stacey are smiling for the camera. >>]( Beyond our site, over on [YouTube]( Knit Picks team members Andi and Alexis provide the history of the development of some of our favorite classic yarns as well as new yarns in our [Yarn Stories series](. They’ve covered many customer favorites with more videos to come! Did you know we have one of the oldest continuously recording knitting [podcasts]( and this season had some great episodes. From interviews with designers, to project ideas and discussion, and even Knit Picks team round tables, our podcast has plenty of knitting discussion to indulge in. Knit-Along [Image: Six of our lovely team members smiling while proudly showing off their KAL Axiom Pullovers! >>]( Last but not least, we had an [amazing fall knit-along]( (KAL), where a bunch of the Knit Picks team knit the [Axiom Pullover by Claire Slade](. We shared our progress regularly on Instagram under the hashtag [#AxiomKAL]( and to our delight, many of you shared your own Axiom KAL projects. Stash [Image: A banner showcasing a pile of autumn-themed bundles of yarn. Text: Stash -- The Knit Picks Blog. >>]( On [Stash: The Knit Picks Blog]( we walked you through knitting Axiom by sharing yarn suggestions, cabling tutorials, tips on seaming sweaters, and more. We even gave a detailed overview on how to modify Axiom or any other drop-shoulder seamed sweater to become a seamless project! Keep your eyes open for our next KAL, because they’re one of our favorite ways to connect with other knitters. Facebook & Instagram We’ve been incredibly busy on our social media where we love to share bits of inspiration as well as foster community. On [Facebook]( we’ve been loving our Monday chit chat, where we ask you questions and you tell us about your knitting habits. ["What's a technique you'd love to try but find a little intimidating?" >>]( [Image: A gold and white colored bingo card exclusively made for different knitting things. >>]( On Instagram, one of our most popular posts this season is always worth revisiting–[knitting bingo]( Also on [Instagram]( we recently had a big giveaway on Instagram with the Clark and Claudette Clutch Sets. Winners were chosen, but it certainly won’t be our last giveaway, so be sure to follow us there. Never miss out on the fun we share by following us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. You can subscribe to the Knit Picks Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your favorite podcatcher, and you can also subscribe to Stash: The Knit Picks Blog or simply check it regularly to get the full show notes of new podcast episodes in addition to entertaining posts, KAL content, and more.
