Our Newest Acquisitions and Returning Favorites, All In One Place... Tuesday Sep 27th, 2022 [View in Browser]( [KL-emailheader.gif]( Whether it is a new allocation or an old favorite, below you will find our most recent additions to the diverse selection at K&L Wine Merchants. We receive new opportunities weekly, from direct imports to local distributors to carefully inspected back-vintage collections—read on for the best of this week's discoveries. Here is a look at our full list of [New Arrivals](. Here is our full list of items that are [Back in Stock](. Here you can browse [all our recent additions on the website](. [Château Giscours] --------------------------------------------------------------- First up is a prime reload opportunity on a Tuscan best seller that absolutely blew the doors off the two previous occasions on which we offered it. For those who got in on those parcels, they'll know what kind of stunning value for price comes with the [2016 Lunadoro "Pagliareto" Vino Nobile di Montepulciano]( and will be quick to lock up more for the cellar. For those who missed it the first few times around, now is your chance to see what all the hype was about. This estate on the northeast side of Montepulciano near Valiano has managed to hit the elegance bullseye vintage after vintage, and the 94-point 2016 rendition continues this run of excellence in spades. In fact, this unbeatable overachiever gets our vote as the best case-buy candidate in Tuscany. The new release [2020 John Duval "Entity" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia]( picks up right where previous best-selling vintages left off with a raft of excellent press. John Duval easily ranks among the top handful of names in Australian winemaking, having been the guiding hand behind three decades of the iconic Penfolds Grange Shiraz. With an encyclopedic knowledge of the Barossa vinescape and access to its best sources of prime fruit, John crafts an entry-level Shiraz that punches far above its weight class. The 2020 Entity is a full-throttle wine of impact and drive, but the winemaker’s world-class skills keep everything in harmony. Duval deftly navigated the growing season, and an expert application of oak results in a classic rendition of this perennial standout value bottling, which Halliday Wine Companion calls “a deeply resonant Shiraz.” Not for the faint of heart, this is quintessentially New World in style with the unmistakable mark of one of the world’s great winemakers. At market-best pricing under $30, it presents a can’t-miss opportunity for fans of unabashed power reds. Finally, the outstanding 2018 Bordeaux wines are now in stock, and a pair of stunning, 97-point collectible values showcase why this vintage is so universally admired even at this early stage in the game. From an estate on a real roll of success lately, the [2018 Brainaire-Ducru St-Julien]( is "perhaps the greatest [rendition] ever made" according to James Suckling, while Vinous' Antonio Galloni calls it "a model of grace ... unquestionably one of the under the radar wines of the year." In similarly jaw-dropping fashion, the [2018 Giscours Margaux]( gives the impression of a prized thoroughbred ready to shine for the long haul. Wine Enthusiast notes it as "firmly structured and set for aging." Galloni also sees benchmark potential in what he calls "another in a series of brilliant wines from the estate ... certainly the best recent vintage I have tasted." This kind of cellar-worthy pedigree for under $75 is a proposition that no serious Bordeaux aficionado can pass up, and these in-stock gems are ready to take their places in your collection today.
