The antidote to FOMO in a weekly wrap up                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 June 02, 2023 | [Read Online]( [Rob Allen]( [fb]( [tw]( [in]( [email](mailto:?subject=Post%20from%20How%20To%20Win&body=%F0%9F%8F%86%20Winners%20and%20losers%206.2.23%3A%20The%20antidote%20to%20FOMO%20in%20a%20weekly%20wrap%20up%0A%0Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fhowtowin.beehiiv.com%2Fp%2Fwinners-losers-6223) Welcome back to another edition of Winners & Losers! Thankfully, we got the finale of Succession we needed. So I will not be taking the next 6 weeks off to recover. (In fact, I’m about to begin a brand new challenge very soon. Stay tuned!) Let’s dive in! The Winners First… 2 CEOs on an unstoppable climb of excellence I. Okay, Mark Zuckerberg is officially cool [tw profile: Sam Parr] Sam Parr @thesamparr [tw] Ok so I guess zuck is pretty cool now. May 29, 2023 9.58K Likes 232 Retweets 443 Replies Not sure if you’ve been following the updates over the past couple of months. But Mark Zuckerberg has started to leak his new and improved fitness routine, including winning a BJJ tournament. And most recently, he finished a Murph challenge in honor of Memorial Day in record time. The challenge consists of: - Running 1 mile - 100 pull ups - 200 push ups - 300 squats - Then running 1 more mile - All while wearing a 20lb weighted vest And Zuck did it in 39 minutes and 58 seconds! There are professional athletes who can’t even do it that fast. And I don’t know what they’re putting in this guys cereal, but I dig it. And I think we should all be bullish on Meta. Especially if they implement this hot tip: [tw profile: Robert Allen] Robert Allen @robwritescopy [tw] I genuinely think if Facebook included this in their "fix your ads emails," advertisers would double their ad spend 😂 May 18, 2023 12 Likes 2 Retweets 2 Replies Stock will soar (NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE). II. Nvidia becomes $1 trillion company, CEO goes on a grand tour [tw profile: Trung Phan] Trung Phan @TrungTPhan [tw] Nvidia is up 26% today and has a market cap of $950B. The only sensible move when Nvidia crosses $1 trillion is a full back tattoo. May 25, 2023 565 Likes 32 Retweets 24 Replies Big news in the tech world this week as Nvidia, a major manufacturer of microchips for smartphones, games and computers, absolutely CRUSHED their earnings call and projected even better things to come in the future. Thanks in no small part to AI. The stock shot up - making them the 7th largest company in the world… Despite basically nobody knowing who they are 😂 But the big focus this week has been on the company’s CEO, Jensen Huang, and how he saved the business 3 times from the brink of near death. Huang gave [a commencement speech]( that shared some of the hard, early lessons the company had to learn and how he had to fight keep the business afloat. Which makes the tattoo he got of the company’s logo make even more sense. The guy is David Goggins-level dedicated. Now, To Our Losers… 2 viral trends that really need to stop I. Twitter really hates HOAs [tw profile: Nick Huber] Nick Huber @sweatystartup [tw] Thank god for HOA rules. People wanting to grow veggies in their front yards, leaving trees untrimmed, not getting weed control treatments. Parking dumb shit like trailers, boats and RVs in driveways. Doing work on cars in driveway. I’ll never live in a neighborhood without… May 29, 2023 1.36K Likes 83 Retweets 6.17K Replies The tomato-loving, contrarian, Nick Huber was back in headlines this week because of a viral tweet he shared about his love of HOAs. People did NOT like the tweet. Not one bit. With some even [sending him death threats](. Now I live in an apartment so I have no say in the matter. But I do know that Nick consistently posts takes like this as part of his content strategy. So there might be more to this than visible to the eye. In fact, I recently heard him [open up on the My First Million podcast]( about how a few of his more controversial tweets helped him make $50,000/month. So I always lean in closer when he posts things like this to see what part of the larger puzzle this fits in. But warning - if you don’t like HOAs, please do not click any links here. II. The internet is over ChatGPT plugins If you spend any time on Twitter, no doubt you’ve seen post with “27 ChatGPT plugins you can’t live without ” Well, this week, I think the internet had enough of it. Officially. And there’s been A LOT of funny memes encapsulating how we all feel. [tw profile: Turner Novak 🍌🧢] Turner Novak 🍌🧢 @TurnerNovak [tw] the best CEOs I know are using at least 27 AI tools per day Jun 1, 2023 189 Likes 11 Retweets 63 Replies [tw profile: Chris Bakke] Chris Bakke @ChrisJBakke [tw] Opening Linkedin is like: My grandpa died. ☹️ 5 years ago today. 😢 He was only 76. 😭 The saddest thing... ...is that he never got to use GPT-4. To celebrate his life, I'm publishing my playbook of the top 76 GPT-powered apps that you need to be using today to level up May 31, 2023 6.89K Likes 713 Retweets 72 Replies With the CEO of Twitter himself even recently clapping back: [tw profile: Elon Musk] Elon Musk @elonmusk [tw] Jun 2, 2023 36.8K Likes 3.43K Retweets 2.21K Replies Point is: AI is cool (especially [for those who can prompt engineer](). And it will be even cooler in the future. But man, cool it on the link round ups! Alright, that’s it for me for this week. Over and out. Rob “if you don’t use 27 ChatGPT plugins to write your middle name, you will never be successful. A thread: ” Allen P.S. Stay tuned for an announcement next week with details on my upcoming challenge on Twitter. P.P.S. Good things to read!
