A sneak preview of recipes from our new cookbook Sunday Recipe Inspiration Batch 565 Jessica Battila

A sneak preview of recipes from our new cookbook [Save 15% on $60+ — Ends Tomorrow]( [logo]( Sunday Recipe Inspiration Batch 565 [ Everyday Bread]( Jessica Battilana Staff Editor Today is the equinox, when day and night are of equal length and autumn officially begins. But fall isn't the only season that starts today: It's also bread baking season. Kids are back to school and we're back to work and routine, and part of my fall routine is getting back to bread, baking a weekly loaf (or two) to feed my people. It's a habit I began about two years ago, when I started writing our latest cookbook, [The Big Book of Bread](, which will be released on October 22 (pre-order now!). The book is packed with 125 recipes, the vast majority of which are all new breads that don't already appear on our website. From simple flatbreads and yeasted sandwich loaves to crusty sourdough boules and feathery enriched breads, there was always a new recipe that needed to be tested. Baking these breads week after week for the last couple of years has brought me so much joy and satisfaction, I just can't wait to share. So today we're sharing [sneak a preview of eight of our favorite bread recipes from the book](. Think of it as a [capsule collection]( of breads that you can make again and again all season long and forever after that. This [wholesome sandwich loaf]( is one of my favorite weekly breads. It's a very easy, very forgiving bread made with whole wheat flour and lightly sweetened with honey. ([Watch Martin make it on YouTube](.) The tender, flaky [Flour Tortillas]( will become a dinner staple. The mesmerizing swirled [Tiger Milk Bread](, striped with chocolate, will have your kids rushing out of bed for their morning toast. This will be the season you master a beautiful [Everyday French Loaf](, with its tender crumb and thin, crisp crust (and use it to make some of the best [garlic bread]( you've ever had). Or maybe you'll greet the cool, dark mornings of fall with a slice of [Sesame Wheat]( toast, slicked with butter and lavished with jam. (If so, you'll be in good company; it's my breakfast of choice.) Whatever you choose to bake, don't let the season pass you by.
