Dr. Mike Ryan, director of the WHO’s health emergencies program, said this varies by country and demographics, “but what it does mean is that the vast majority of the world remains at risk.” Experts show the virus is still spreading across the world, including in Europe, where the latest risk assessment of COVID-19 is high, according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. In the U.S., cases are also on the rise, with more than 50,000 cases reported on both Friday and Saturday.
