The Line Fire in San Bernardino National Forest has burned over 25,800 acres and is only 5% contained, threatening about 38,000 structures and forcing the evacuation of at least 6,000 people. Pyrocumulus clouds, created by the fire's heat, have generated lightning strikes that have further fueled the blaze. Cooler weather is expected to offer some relief by reducing fire activity and increasing moisture in the fuel.
