Help us take back the majority. Hello from Washington, where Kevin McCarthy was just removed as Spea

Help us take back the majority. [Katie Porter for Senate]( Hello from Washington, where Kevin McCarthy was just removed as Speaker. We’re in this unprecedented circus because House Republicans have been unable to govern ever since they regained the majority. Remember back in January, when it took days of votes to finally elect a Speaker? McCarthy had to give all sorts of concessions to the most extreme members of his party in order to finally get the Speakership, and now we’re seeing the results. Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans have engineered this crisis, and the American people are paying the price. It reminds me of the Taylor Swift lyric: play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Let me be clear, it’s not Democrats’ job to save Kevin McCarthy. This is a problem created by the GOP caucus, and they need to work their BS out. Democrats have proven we can govern, and today is another reminder of why we *must* take back the majority in 2024. Today you can help us do that by making a donation that will be split between my campaign and Will Rollins. [Will is running to flip a highly-competitive GOP-held seat in Southern California, and by winning just a few races like this one, we can put an end to this GOP majority.]( [Donate ›››]( Onward, Katie Katie is running for the U.S. Senate because Californians deserve a warrior fighting for them in Washington. Our campaign is people-powered, we don’t take a dime from corporate PACs, federal lobbyists, or executives from Big Oil or Big Pharma.
