(Getty Images) Hurricane Milton barreled into Florida's Gulf Coast late Wednesday night, making landfall as a Category 3 hurricane before weakening slightly to a Category 2. But make no mistake: The cyclone is bringing with it life-threatening storm surges, flash flooding, and winds up to 110 mph. And that's after tornadoes tore through parts of Florida earlier in the day. This comes less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene wrought destruction, leaving at least 227 people dead across six states.
