(Getty Images) Hurricane Milton barreled into Florida's Gulf Coast late Wednesday night, making landfall as a Category 3 hurricane before weakening slightly to a Category 2. But make no mistake: The cyclone is bringing with it life-threatening storm surges, flash flooding, and winds up to 110 mph. And that's after tornadoes tore through parts of Florida earlier in the day. This comes less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene wrought destruction, leaving at least 227 people dead across six states. Meteorologist and hurricane specialist John Morales spoke to me yesterday about the damage he’s most concerned about and [the moment he got emotional when reporting on this natural disaster](. Country superstar Garth Brooks has publicly named the woman who accused him of rape in a new court filing — even though she sued him under the pseudonym "Jane Roe" to preserve her anonymity. Brooks' lawyers claimed he is "the victim of a shakedown," while his accuser's legal team plans to seek "maximum sanctions" against the musician for releasing the woman's name "out of spite." Melinda French Gates will give $250 million to support women's health around the globe as part of a grant competition called Action For Women's Health.
