But in an interview for my podcast Next Question, she condemned the second apparent assassination attempt against him. “This is such a terrible thing to happen twice in our country in a relatively short period of time, and it’s frightening to see violence being threatened and used in a political campaign,” she told me. At the same time, she called out the former president’s rhetoric. “I do worry about political violence. I worry about threats. I worry about what’s being said online,” she said. Israel planted explosives in the devices which belonged to members of the Hezbollah militant group, the New York Times has learned. Hezbollah has vowed to retaliate, and Lebanon called the attack "criminal Israeli aggression." Sean "Diddy" Combs has been denied bail, and will remain in federal detention, a judge ruled Tuesday. The indictment against him claims that he created "a criminal enterprise" whose members engaged in "sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.” If convicted, he faces up to life in prison. Senate Republicans blocked another Democrat-led bid to enshrine federal protections and insurance coverage for IVF treatment in law. The Democrats brought the measure to flag GOP opposition to the cause, which enjoys popular support. The Federal Reserve is poised to lower interest rates today for the first time since early 2020. Observers are unsure whether it'll drop rates by the traditional 0.25%, or opt for a more aggressive 0.5%.
