Safe to say, it went nothing like the last one. Harris kept her cool, testing Trump's patience with jibes throughout. She told him that military leaders say he's a "disgrace," world leaders are laughing at him, and that 81 million voters had fired him. “Clearly, he’s having a very difficult time processing that,” she said. Trump consistently rose to the bait, at one point exclaiming testily "Wait a minute, I'm talking now. You don't mind? ... Does that sound familiar?" when Harris tried to call him out on his claims about her "defunding the police." She replied calmly: "Don't lie." Trump was particularly upset when Harris questioned the size of the crowds at his rallies. At one point, he veered into a bizarre, unfounded rant about migrants eating Americans' pets (we've got more on that very odd claim from the Trump camp, below). "She is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos," Swift wrote — signing off with [a sharp jab at J.D. Vance](. Storm Francine has strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane, and is on a collision course with the Louisiana coast, where it's expected to land packing powerful winds later today. The Federal Emergency Management Agency warns it “poses a serious threat.” Missouri's supreme court ruled that a measure enshrining abortion rights in the state's constitution will appear on the ballot in November. It would protect people’s “fundamental right to reproductive freedom” in a state that currently operates a near-total abortion ban. Sean "Diddy" Combs lost a $100 million default judgment in Michigan after he failed to respond to a man's claim that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted him at a party in 1997.
