The nation's outrage was fueled by the discovery of the bodies of six Israeli hostages in Gaza's tunnels, which were retrieved by the IDF over the weekend. More than 100 hostages, of whom 35 are believed to be dead, are still being held by Hamas. For months, their families and many other Israelis have demanded a cessation of hostilities to bring them safely home. Protesters lit fires and chanted “You are the leader — you are guilty!” outside one of Netanyahu's homes in Caesarea. The move marks an escalation in tensions, and “sends a message all the way up to the top,” U.S. officials told CNN. “Seizing the foreign head of state’s plane is unheard-of for criminal matters," they added. Donald Trump told Fox News he had "every right" to interfere with the 2020 election in an interview that aired Sunday. Per Axios, Trump's insistence on perpetuating that narrative — and animosity towards his opponents — is directly at odds with his campaign strategy. A small crowd attacked a pair of U.S. Marines in Turkey on Monday. Footage of the assault shows one of them shouting "help" as the crowd puts a bag over the other man's head. They've since been screened at a hospital and returned to their ship, and 15 members of the Turkish Youth Union have been taken into custody. Schools are rethinking their homework policies as students continue to struggle with their mental health post-pandemic.
