Some progressive Democrats plan to boycott the address over Israel's conduct in Gaza. The Trump campaign has filed an FEC complaint in an attempt to block President Biden's campaign funds from transferring to Harris. Meanwhile, Trump posted that Harris "destroys everything she touches,” but said he would be willing to debate her. Bob Menendez will resign his Senate seat effective August 20, after being found guilty on all 16 counts in a federal bribery and corruption trial. The New Jersey Democrat faces a maximum of 222 years in prison — but his sentences will likely run concurrently. Sunday was the hottest day ever recorded on Earth, with the average global temperature hitting 62.76 F, breaking the record set last July. Six states were under heat warnings yesterday, and more than 300 deaths in Maricopa County, Arizona, have been linked to heat-related illnesses this year.
