JustinGuitar December 2017 Newsletter G'day {NAME} I know it seems a little previous but - MERRY CHR

[justinguitar logo]( JustinGuitar December 2017 Newsletter G'day {NAME} I know it seems a little previous but - MERRY CHRISTMAS :) It is nearly that time of year again in case you hadn't noticed and this year I finally got the Christmas Songbook out and it's selling like over-proof mulled wine at a parent teacher evening ;) It's been a (usual) absolutely manic month, but it's all good with lots more exciting projects flying about and been filming a lot of cool new lessons for y'all - see below! Another big thanks for the wonderful folk that [made a donation]( and emailed me good vibes and offers of help last month. The new site design is rocking along real well and we're just working on some user login things now so you can login and favourite lessons you're working on and that kind of thing. Lot more planned but really running hard to get everything working so we can launch! Donations really help because I can just get the developers moving on stuff sooner and make it even more awesome for everyone! So big thank you, much appreciated! NEW LESSONS, SONGS & MORE! [Justinguitar Christmas Songbook]( The JustinGuitar Christmas Songbook We're now shipping this awesome Christmas songbook, perfect for guitar players at Christmas. 21 songs, some easy "play on the day" stuff and some harder chord melody arrangements you'll need to work out in advance! Only available at the official store! [Get it on the JustinGuitar Official Store]( Something For The Weekend...Been meaning to do some John Mayer songs for some time and finally got around to doing Slow Dancing In A Burning Room - what a tune! And in the comments loads of folk requested an acoustic version of Something Like Olivia, which I'd never heard... but before I even got through to the end of the song I had my guitar in hand and started transcribing, and that lesson is out too! Working on Stop This Train now too... out soon. Last week I did Comes A Time, a Neil Young classic and every Saturday 'tween now and xmas, I got songs from the new songbook :) starting with the Dean Martin hit, Winter Wonderland. [Winter Wonderland Dean Martin]( ['Winter Wonderland' Dean Martin]( [Comes A Time by Neil Young]( ['Comes A Time' Neil Young]( [Something Like Olivia by John Mayer]( ['Something Like Olivia' John Mayer]( [Slow Dancing In A Burning Room John Mayer]( ['Slow Dancing In A Burning Room' John Mayer]( 3 for 2 offer on Awesome New Tees We're still growing our tee collection :) and as a special xmas offer we're doing a 3 for 2 offer until Dec 31 - so now you can buy yourself a couple and get a free one for your mate and be all kinds of awesome! But all this extra stuff is going to cost more - BUT if you subscribe before the update you will keep the original price and get all the updated stuff for free!! Once the update is done you'll no longer be able to buy the monthly or annual subscription at the old price! It's launching in the next week so get your subscription now and save :) [iOS Apple StoreÂ]( Android Google Play]( Ear Training Series We're now just hitting Grade 2 which introduces the intervals of the Major 2nd and Major 3rd and a real cool singing exercise to accelerate your ability to sing and recognise the intervals (coming next week). New lessons out each Thursday, get with the program dudes :) [Grade 2: Major 2nd Interval]( [Grade 2: Major 3rd Interval]( New Ear Training Backing Tracks My new Ear Training Exercises audio tracks are live on iTunes and Amazon (downloads, not streaming!). If links below don't work just search for JustinGuitar. Each of the 3 volumes has 10 tracks of various instruments to test your interval Ear Training :) I used to make things like this to test myself on a train - you hear the interval 3 times and then I say the answer for you, so no messing about writing things down etc. If you're doing the (free!) Ear Training course then they are sure be of benefit and help show your support! Get them at: [iTunes]( / [Amazon UK]( / [Amazon US]( New Jam Modes Backing Tracks Lots of great vibes about the Jam Modes backing tracks - I think they're real cool fun to play over myself and I'm sure you will too! Was a real great band of musicians we got together for this, fun making and sure you'll have fun wailing over them too! Get them at: [iTunes]( / [Amazon UK]( / [Amazon US]( JustinGuitar Community Song Competition Congratulations to DerekN for winning Octobers 12 Bar Improv contest - see you for your private Skype lesson real soon! The next comp ends on Dec 15 and as well the usual Skype lesson you'll win £100 voucher to spend in our store! It's Festive Season theme covers, so solo arrangements or vocals, pop or traditional is all fine as long as there's a festive season theme! If you'd like to win an hour Skype lesson with me, them simply record yourself playing a festive song and head over to the community and submit your entry. You'll get feedback from other community members and maybe make some friends or learn something! :) [See the rules and enter right here!]( General News I keep myself pretty busy, I have a mega todo list and I try and get through as much stuff as I can every day... but when I heard that Malcolm Young had passed I put everything on hold and played along with my favourite AC/DC tracks. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but I hear only great things about one of rock n roll's finest guitar players and I've been loving and learning from his playing my whole life! There's already plenty of AC/DC lessons on the site already but you can be sure there will be more coming very soon! RIP Mal. We salute you! Other news is not new really - I'm just working on the new site as much as I can, filming new lessons and songs to keep y'all entertained :) I'm doing a couple of hours a day going through the new site and checking and updating as much as I can and I hope to be most of the way through by xmas - it's gonna be SO much better and there are so many incredible things on the to do list after the main release I can hardly keep my gob shut, I wanna tell y'all about it but you'll have to wait until things start rolling out! We're revamping the ol' store too, almost done and that should be live in the next week - just a lick o paint to make it work look and work better and be better on mobile devices too. The Christmas book is flying off the shelves and we have Christmas Jumpers and Tee Shirts coming in the next few days, just not quite in time for this newsletter! It's almost time for me to go pick up my daughter and then will be busy entertaining her for the next few hours with Lego, ukulele and Patchwork Pals - so I'll leave this here and wish you all a wonderful Christmas and all the very best wishes for 2018. I feel great privilege that I can do what I love and so many of y'all enjoy and benefit from it - thank you for your support :) Be safe and be kind. Wishing you much love, laughter and guitar fun! J.
