Stopping the MTA’s Congestion Tax. - After a five year fight, we put an end to the outrageous Congestion Tax, delivering a huge victory and much needed relief for hardworking families across our state. Defending Reproductive Freedom and Calling Out Deceptive Crisis Pregnancy Centers. - Please read my latest op-ed sounding the alarm on misleading, anti-choice Crisis Pregnancy Centers. I will always fight to ensure women can make their own personal, private health care decisions. Standing Up to Antisemitism and Hate. - In the face of skyrocketing antisemitism, I’m proud to have led and passed the bipartisan Antisemitism Awareness Act to project Jewish students from violence and hate. Watch at [CBS News](. - I worked with Rep. Donald Norcross to call on Rutgers University leadership to protect all students on its campus and stand against antisemitism. Fighting for the Momnibus to Improve Maternal Health. - I joined Rep. Keeping Jersey Safe from Gun Violence. - As we get ready to host the FIFA World Cup, I’m fighting to get the funding we need to keep everyone safe from security threats like undetectable guns and lone wolf terror. Helping Veterans Find Good Jobs. - On the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, I announced my new “Jobs Plan for America’s Veterans” to help our veterans thrive with good jobs that value their military skills. Clawing Back $6.8 Billion Investment for the Gateway Train Tunnel. - I’m thrilled that we’ve clawed back an historic $6.8 billion investment for the Gateway Program to make massive improvements to our public transit without raising state and local taxes. Fighting for LGBTQ+ Equality. - In honor of Pride Month, I hosted a roundtable with the LGBTQ+ community and announced my new legislation, the Elder Pride Protection Act, to stop abuse against our LGBTQ+ senior population. Standing Up for Domestic Abuse Survivors. - I’m calling on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to do more to protect and empower survivors of domestic violence, who often also experience economic abuse. Clawing Back Investments to Keep Our Communities Safe. - We clawed back $5+ million in federal public safety investments from DC to ensure North Jersey first responders have the resources they need to keep our communities safe without our towns having to raise local taxes. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma, to ensure critical security and humanitarian aid is delivered to our allies. Working to Renovate Port Authority Bus Terminal. - I’m working to claw back federal investment to help get the Port Authority Bus Terminal renovation off the ground. Read at [NJ.com](. 13. Clawing Back a Record $4.8 Million Investment to Protect Schools & Houses of Worship. - I helped claw back a record $4.8 million in Nonprofit Security Grants to improve security and ensure everyone is safe at our schools, churches, synagogues, mosques, and more. Read at [NorthJersey](. 14. Calling For a New Post Office in Lafayette. - I went to Lafayette to demand action from the U.S. Postal Service. It’s unacceptable that this community has gone five years without a post office. Read at [WRNJ.]( 15. Expanding Access to High-Speed Internet in Sussex. - I’m excited that $50 million in new federal funding will help counties like Sussex get connected to high-speed, affordable internet. Improving Air Travel and Airplane Safety. - I’m proud that the bipartisan FAA legislation included my amendment to require secondary cockpit barriers – a commonsense safety provision to keep us safe and prevent another 9/11. Read at [NJ Spotlight News](. - I introduced the Enhancing Transparency from Airlines Act, or ETA, to protect consumers from the headaches of hidden junk fees, flight cancelations, and massive delays. Protecting Seniors from Scammers. - As part of my Senior Security Strategy, I announced new action to protect our seniors from being preyed upon by scammers including cracking down on online fraud.
