[The court ruled]( that anti-abortion doctors and organizations couldn’t challenge the FDA’s approval of the drug because the groups don’t prescribe or use the pill themselves. Justice Brett Kavanaugh noted that accepting their argument could lead to any professional group suing over policies they disagree with, citing examples like firefighters challenging building codes or teachers disputing immigration policies. However, since the decision was based on a "[legal technicality](," future legal challenges to the drug, which was used in nearly two-thirds of all abortions in the U.S. last year, could be on the horizon.
