[John Avlon for Congress]( {NAME}, We are just hours away from the most consequential election of our lifetime. The stakes could not be higher for our country or our community. The choice is stark: not just at the top of the ticket but here in New York’s First District. There are times in our history where a generation is called to step up and defend American democracy. This is one of those times. And history is made by determined optimists, happy warriors who work together to overcome tough times and build a better future. These next days offer us the opportunity to make sure that we hand America to the next generation better than it was handed to us. I know many of you are anxious. But take it from me: the best antidote is action. How do we see things on the ground? You probably saw my campaign manager Bryan's note. I'm so proud of the infrastructure we've built and the energy we are seeing across the district. We’re seeing record turnout in Suffolk County and across America. From everything I'm seeing, voters are energized. They know the stakes. They're doing what they can. But in these last 24-plus hours (hours!), we need to do more. If you haven't yet - you can still help us make a huge difference. [Volunteer to knock on doors, phone or text.]( We need to earn this victory and it could come down to just a few thousand votes. What we know is that our vote matters here in NY-01. We could determine whether Democrats retake the House. And regardless of who wins the presidency, the House is going to decide so much. If Kamala Harris wins, we can do so much together to rebuild the middle - starting by taking direct action on affordability. Restoring the state and local tax credit. Making it less expensive to have kids and buy a house. And of course, protecting reproductive freedoms nationwide. But if, God forbid, Donald Trump wins the White House, a Democratic House is essential to the defense of American democracy. We can't afford to give him a rubber stamp. We're seeing real energy here up and down the ticket. In these closing hours, I'm reminded just what "happy warriors" can really do. Campaigning with energy, courage, and joy. Thank you for being with me on this journey, and of course for fighting the good fight with me. -John [PS: Our field program is the best in the state and among the best in the country. We are still expanding it to get every last vote. If you can pitch in now, it really still does make a difference - allowing us to contact more voters and get out more votes. Please consider contributing, one last time.]( [CONTRIBUTE]( PAID FOR BY JOHN AVLON FOR CONGRESS John Avlon for Congress PO Box 1200 Sag Harbor, NY 11963 United States If you believe you received this message in error or wish to no longer receive email from us, please [unsubscribe](.
