Run through the tape [John Avlon for Congress]( {NAME}, 125 days ago - barely four months ago - I decided to enter the arena. And now today, across Suffolk County, voters are making their voices heard. On Election Day, I’m reminded of what I said the day I announced, because it’s rung true each and every day on the trail: “We need to build the broadest possible coalition to defend our democracy, defeat Donald Trump, and win back the House from his MAGA minions. I know that if we work together, we can flip this seat and finally solve problems for Long Island families… Our next member of Congress needs to work with all people of good faith, based on common sense and common facts to solve the common problems we face. We need someone who will put Suffolk County’s values first – not Donald Trump’s.” I’ve been inspired by the energy and enthusiasm - and unprecedented number of primary endorsements that have come in - all because Democrats across the district are hungry for a win. For a long time, people thought this district was fading away – but I believed that’s just generals fighting the last war. We saw next door with Tom Suozzi how candidate quality matters so much – and how playing offense on the issues people care about and seizing the center matters. Common sense and common facts are winners here for Suffolk county families. From abortion to affordability, it all comes back to the same thing: we have to win to actually make the change we need. And it’s no coincidence that we've seen the middle of our politics hollowed out at the same time we've seen the middle of our economy hollowed out. Voters here want someone who they know can go to Washington and fight for their rights and fight to rebuild the middle class. The hunger for a win is a hunger for actually getting things done. As I said on Morning Joe this morning, my closing argument is exactly what I’ve been telling voters since we started this journey together. We need to win. Six of the eight Democratic town committees, local Democratic leaders like Tom Suozzi and Fred Thiele, 5 labor unions and national Democrats all know we can’t afford to lose this fight. I’m the only Democrat who can win the general election - which is why my opponent’s own union has endorsed me.   If you can do one last thing this Election Day, please share this clip and remind people in the 1st District they need to get out and vote today so we can go win the general election. I am going to keep this short - we are spending the day convincing even more voters to come out and vote for me (and yes, there are still undecideds on Election Day!) and turning out our own vote. I just wanted to thank you all for being happy warriors in this good fight with me. Who would have thought that yes, running a campaign on West Wing-style ideals could evolve into such a powerful force. Your support has meant so much to me. We couldn’t have put ourselves in such a strong position over the last 125 days without you. Is it possible to be both humbled and proud? I am today. Thank you again - let’s go win this! - John PAID FOR BY JOHN AVLON FOR CONGRESS John Avlon for Congress PO Box 1200 Sag Harbor, NY 11963 United States If you believe you received this message in error or wish to no longer receive email from us, please [unsubscribe](.
