Researchers compared aerobic training (like running or biking) and resistance training in 56 middle-aged Japanese women who didn't exercise much before. After 16 weeks, they found that both types of exercise made their skin more elastic (a sign of healthy skin) and improved its structure. However, resistance training had additional, noteworthy skin-boosting benefits that you won’t find in a bottle of fancy face lotion.
