It’s Election Day! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

It’s Election Day! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Janet Mills for Governor]( The values my grandparents and my parents instilled in me have guided me all my life – the values of hard work, strength, courage, patience, and, above all else, love of the great State of Maine and hope for its future. And the resilience that epitomizes Maine people. The resilience of a young girl who was suffering from scoliosis, only to undergo a major spinal surgery that left me bedridden for the better part of a year and, later, with a literal backbone of steel. The strength to stand between women and their abusers as the first woman District Attorney in New England and, as your Attorney General, to stand up to the corporations and bad actors who would take advantage of Maine people. The courage - or some might say craziness - to marry my husband Stan, a widower with five young daughters — and, later, to fight for the life-saving health care my husband needed before I lost him. The patience to listen to five talkative, energetic grandchildren, the youngest born just days before the election in 2018. The love to serve this great state we all call home as your Governor. And the undying hope I have for our people – because of our people. [Janet Mills' family]( Those values aren’t unique to my family – they are at the heart of all Maine people. And in my years of public service, I have always believed this: that you – Maine people – are our greatest asset. Over my first term, we’ve been able to accomplish a lot together. I’m ready to keep moving Maine forward because the serious challenges we face require serious leadership. During this campaign, we’ve been able to fight back against millions in false attack ads against me all while staying focused on the kitchen-table issues that I know matter most to Maine people. I couldn’t be more thankful for people like you to be on my team as we fight to win this election. Know that you’ve made a big difference in this race, and when the polls close, I’m confident we’ll come out on top with your support. Thank you for everything, Janet Mills [P.S. We’re knocking on doors across Maine all day to ensure every person gets out and votes. If you can, we need your support to finish strong because every last dollar will matter. Can I count on you to donate $15 or more right now? Your support will make a difference in this close race.]( Governor Janet Mills has always fought for the people of Maine, from keeping people healthy and safe during the pandemic to putting us on the road to recovery to planning ahead for a sustainable future. And she’s just getting started. Janet wants to keep moving Maine forward.
