In a statement, the JFJ called on the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and Commissioner of Police, retired major general, Antony Anderson, to provide a thorough account of the encounter. The incident is reported to have taken place after the childâs father was involved in an altercation with the police during a traffic stop. Cop on murder rap back in court A plea and case management hearing is scheduled for today in the Home Circuit Court for Constable Clayton Williams, who is charged with the murder of a man nearly seven years ago. Williams is charged in the January 12, 2017 shooting death of Shaquille Morris in Seaview Gardens. He was charged following a probe by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM). Inside the Parliament The Joint Select Committee appointed to consider and report on the Criminal Justice (Administration) (Amendment) Act 2023; the Offences Against the Person (Amendment Act) 2023; and the Child Care and Protection (Amendment) Act, 2023, will meet to continue its review of the bills. The House of Representatives will meet at 2:00 pm today at which time the 2023/24 State of the Constituency Debate will continue. Those scheduled to make their contribution to the debate are Marlene Malahoo Forte, the Member of Parliament for St James West Central and the Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs; the MP for St Catherine East Central, AlandoTerrelonge and the MP for St Andrew South Western, Dr Angela Brown Burke.
