IT business goals ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ?

IT business goals ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ⚽️ Setting Goals For Your IT Business {NAME} School holidays here in the UK and the weather as predicted is at it’s finest – rain every day this week! Luckily we’re heading to Portugal next week so we’ll get a break from this. My Dad used to always tell me about how the weather got him down – I can relate to that in some respects and I’ve got a goal that in around 18 years from now I’ll be full time living (and retired) in Portugal. Going by the new laws the Scottish government have been rolling out, this may be sooner rather than later. (won't bore you with the detail but it's tyrannical) But you might be asking what the heck this has to do with your IT business? Well goal setting and vision – it’s a thing. The question is have you done this recently for your business? I first planned a vision board around 7 years ago, some of which has come true, this included as an integral part of it being non-location based. That was a difficult thing to achieve pre-pandemic but now that almost everyone is happy to do business on Teams/Zoom it’s defiantly more achievable. We’ve got members at IT Rockstars that are taking full advantage of this subtle change in the marketplace and are now operating their IT business at a national level and sometimes even international. No longer are the restricted by supporting small local businesses but instead niched down to provide specialist areas of technology services to specific types of companies. For members refer to [this video]( on goal/vision for your IT business. ▶️ Video Of The Week Here's the first in a series of videos titled "[sneaky backlinks](. these are a quick way of giving your IT business website more authority in the search engine results.👊 ✏️ Do You Have A Marketing Strategy? I speak with a lot of IT businesses in a week and one thing that keeps coming up is tactics VS strategy. One of the questions I always ask is what types of marketing are you doing now or have worked in the past? Lot’s of different answers to this but the commonality I always take away is that there’s no clear strategy it’s all tactics. There’s a very good reason why you need a strategy which I cover in the first few paragraphs of [this recent blog post](. Worth digesting and taking action if you want to work more on the business. 📣 MSP Industry Shout Out Paul Lloyd from [Sellery]( is an MSP sales specialist - he works with MSPs that have a team of sales professionals. I referred him to a client recently with great results. If you are struggling to align your sales team then defiantly speak with Paul.
