Todays Top News Gerrymandering Solved Gerry what? In case you’re unaware, gerrymandering means

[Investor News Pro]( [TODAY'S DEAL: Honestly, you should get this book](mailto:editor@investornewspro.com?subject=Give+me+my+top+stocks+for+2020&body=Give+me+my+top+stocks+for+2020) Todays Top News [Gerrymandering Solved] Gerrymandering Solved Gerry what? In case you’re unaware, gerrymandering means “Manipulating the boundaries of (an electoral constituency) so as to favor one party or class.” Here’s the deal. Gerrymandering happens all the time, especially with districts that are responding to electoral votes that are drawn by hand. To push out opposing voters, Republicans and Democrats will sometimes create odd shapes that lock in their votes. It’s blatant manipulation of how we vote and if we’re ever going to move past it, automating the process, even partially, can change this. Wendy Tam Cho, a teacher at University of Illinois has been working for years at automating redistricting and if you remember the ACLU lawsuit about Ohio’s gerrymandering districts from 2019, Cho played a key witness, ruling the districts as unconstitutional. How would this work? Dividing states into a certain number of shapes. This would let the AI technology to limit those shapes, along with programming in demographics and geographic data to consider. Each state would have its individual rules of course. The only hurdle is getting more legislatures to trust AI. Meticulous? Yes. Worth it? We think so… what about you? Hit reply with your response! Investing [Want to Buy a House? Get It 3D Printed!] Want to Buy a House? Get It 3D Printed! 3D printing of houses is now a thing. Kamp C out of Belgium printed a two-story house in one piece using the largest 3D printer in Europe. It’s no Hollywood Hills mansion, coming in at 968 square feet, but is a first step in seeing how these types of home hold up over time. There have been homes printed already, but they’re only one-story tall and use factory printed parts that are assembled on site. This building was printed on site entirely and somehow is “three times stronger than a regular build,” says representatives from Kamp C. Not sure about a 3D-printed home? Well, we all know what a headache (to put it lightly) home construction and working with contractors is. Six weeks can turn into two years! This home was printed over three weeks and the company expects that soon enough, homes can be printed in just two days. Must look boring, right? Not quite! They’ve included curved walls and an overhang – and heating, a green roof and solar panels are being added. Would you get a 3D-printed home if you had the option? Why or why not? Hit reply and let us know! Don't Miss This [The NSA’s In Trouble] The NSA’s In Trouble You know that program the National Security Agency (NSA) has that basically collects everything on any American’s phone calls? Yeah, it’s finally been ruled illegal. Last Thursday, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals found that the “bulk collection” violates the law, but also didn’t call it unconstitutional. This all started after the September 11 terrorist attacks. The NSA persuaded US phone companies to provide them with daily call logs so they could tie together evidence from targets. Don’t worry, apparently in these particular records (we don’t know what else they do), the NSA was only collecting call dates, times and identities, not actual conversations. This is the whole deal Edward Snowden exposed in 2013 (it’s been that long!?). Even though that was seven years ago, the program didn’t shut down until last year. Maybe it’s because they claimed it helped stop 50 terror attacks? To some that sounds like a lot, but others, like Julian Sanchez, a civil liberties expert, says “it doesn’t matter because the program was also worthless.” We’re open to hearing all opinions. Did you think this NSA program was constitutional, or nah? Hit reply and let us know! [Vote Now] PS. How useful did you find today’s update?
