NEWSLETTER - FEBRUARY 2017 "Luck is the friend of the fish and the enemy of the shark." - yiazmat Ho

[Replay Poker Newsletter] NEWSLETTER - FEBRUARY 2017 "Luck is the friend of the fish and the enemy of the shark." - yiazmat Howdy {NAME}! It’s February and love is in the air! Here at Replay Poker, we’ve never been shy about our love for free poker. This month we’re letting cupid’s arrow fly, aiming it at your hearts with our Valentine’s Day Promotion. What is it? Shhh, it’s a secret! Be sure to keep an eye on Replay Poker for more information as the day approaches. So how about it, poker pals? Will you be our Valentine? And that’s not all. It’s time to get decked out in purple, green, and gold, because Mardi Gras is here! Join us and laissez les bon temps rouler (let the good times roll) with our Mardi Gras Royal Festival, running February 27th through March 5th. Don’t forget about our ongoing [En Route to the Super Bowl] promotion! It started in January but the main event will be the Super Bowl Final on February 5th. If you’re one of the lucky winners of a SBQ Final ticket, make sure not to miss it! We’re not done yet! Get ready for awesome deals with our President’s Day Sale. Chip packages have 30% extra chips on February 17th through 20th. This also falls during our Double Guarantees Week, where all MTT guaranteed and added prize pools will be doubled! You’ll be swimming in chips! Be sure to check out the [Latest Promotions] section for more information. First, let’s recap all of the awesome action that took place in January. We’ve got information on our ongoing [Weekly Facebook Freerolls], the [En Route to the Super Bowl] qualification tournaments, and how the staff fared in January’s [Bust the Staff]. Read on! Player of the Month [Player of the Month]February's Player of the Month is a high-stakes Omaha Hi/Lo pro: [MaxPokem]! MaxPokem is a software engineer who lives near Virginia Tech, his alma mater. After graduating in 1999, the fresh air, gorgeous mountains, and beautiful landscapes kept him in the area. But Max doesn't just admire the scenery -- he spends plenty of time at the tables! "I love playing poker because it involves a wonderful blend of strategy with the thrill of pressing your luck," he says. "And, if you play the game right, you'll win big bucks more often than you are hit by a whammy." (Nice [Press Your Luck] reference!) If you're looking to join MaxPokem at the tables, you'll need to ante up. He likes to stick to Hold'em and Omaha Hi/Lo in ring games with 10k big blinds and up, and in tourneys with 250k buy-ins. One thing on his wish-list is an Omaha Hi/Lo tournament with a buy-in of that level (we'll look into that!). Max leaves us with this advice: "Think twice before calling significant bets in the hope of drawing a straight, when a flush draw is possible." Promotions Recap Weekly Facebook Freerolls Our new [Weekly Facebook Freerolls] started up in January and are available every Sunday at 14:30 ET and 20:30 ET. They're easy to join – just check for the password on our Facebook page each Monday, register on Sunday and have a great time! There's still plenty of Weekly Facebook Freerolls coming up, so come on in and join us every Sunday! En Route to the Super Bowl There's still time to gear up and get in on the excitement of our [En Route to the Super Bowl] promotion. Join our [Super Bowl Qualification] tournaments and [Satellite] tournaments to win your ticket to the Super Bowl Final tournament on Sunday, February 5th! Bust the Staff! The staff's skills are getting better and better every month! We're always hoping a staffer will take the top prize, but sadly it was not to be in January. Almost all the staff made it past the 50% mark and even received a few tournament points. The final bounty was collected by [JerryCocoaBch], who busted out [wordy1] in 11th place. We'll be waiting for you next month on Thursday, February 16th. Upcoming Promotions Even though February is the shortest month of the year, we’ve packed it with tons of awesome, poker fun! First up is the [En Route to the Super Bowl Final], on February 5th at 16:00 ET. If you’ve managed to snag a Super Bowl Final Ticket, make sure to join us, as the top 27 final players will be awarded with an additional share of four million play chips! Talk about a touchdown! Double Guarantees Week starts on February 13th and goes through February 19th. During this week, all MTT guaranteed and added prize pools will be doubled. And if that isn’t enough, it also overlaps with our President’s Day Sale! On February 17th through February 20th, all chip packages will include 30% extra chips. Make sure not to miss out! February 14th is Valentine’s Day, and we’ve got something secret up our sleeves to make you fall in love with Replay Poker. :) Make sure to check our [Latest Promotions] page for more information as we get closer to the date. Join us for even more [fun and exclusive tournaments]! News & Updates Forum Topic of the Month Having trouble building your stack? You're not alone. Player [ashu747] has managed to earn a bank size of over 100,000 chips, but is eager to climb the ranks and is asking for tips in the forum topic, ["I need help on how to increase my stack."] Several folks have chipped in with advice, offering up some tourneys to join and avoid, and mention taking advantage of your daily bonus. If you need help or have a sizable stack and have your own thoughts, join in the discussion! Curious?... …about how to handle an all-in player? Just about every player has gone all in at some point in their playing history. It is an accepted and expected part of any player’s overall game play strategy. However, some players choose to go all in on every hand – from the first hand until the one that takes their stack. Replay’s advice? Be patient and wait them out. Waiting for a premium hand could provide you with a great opportunity to call the player and take their chips. It doesn’t always work, but then again, it just might! If all else fails in the Ring games, you can switch to another table. Poker Pro-Tip Are you losing chips faster than you can bring them in? It’s important to respect your Replay Chips; they are 'free,’ but not always easy to get back once they are gone! One easy tip is to not enter a ring game or tournament with more chips than you are prepared to lose. It's important that you know which game variant and format you are the best at and focus on it. If you haven't discovered it yet, make sure to give all of our game types a try! Grinding small and steady wins builds confidence, which ultimately makes you a better player. Finally... Thank you for being a member of our awesome community and for sharing your play time with us! If you have any questions or feedback, good or bad, we'd love to hear from you; just reply to this email.
