[Hypedrive] February 09, 2024 Weekly Digest 🍔 McDonald’s Unveils Custom 1970 Plymouth Barracuda: The Burgercuda TLDR: In perhaps the most random-yet-intriguing collaboration of the year so far, McDonald's has applied its aesthetic and vibe onto a classic American muscle car: the Plymouth Barracuda. Why It Matters: The classic Plymouth has actually been revamped by McDonald's' villianous mascot, the Hamburglar, to create the "Burgercuda." The custom 1970s classic is decked out in the character’s signature black-and-white stripes, red accents and features a variety of burger-themed modifications. Other notable details of the vehicle include “McDonald’s” branding at the grille of the car, an “RBL RBL” license plate in red letters, a burger heating center console, a Micky D’s yellow shift knob and a McDonald’s Arch logo embossed on the steering wheel. The notorious burger thief has set out on a coast-to-coast spree and spotting him and his Burgercuda comes with rewards, including a chance to win free McDonald’s burgers for a year.Read the full article [here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- ‍💨 Audi Unveils Limited Edition RS 6 Avant GT TLDR: Audi is introducing the RS 6 Avant GT – perhaps the coolest sports wagon we've seen in a very, very long time. Why It Matters: Distinctive by design, the RS 6 Avant GT features a variety of bespoke elements, including a pass-through roof edge spoiler, 22-inch wheels and a redefined diffuser that elevates its sporty appearance. Due to its hard to read nature, it could potentially cause increased crashes. Fortunately for Tesla and its customers however, this can be changed with a simple update and will not require drivers to bring their EVs into a repair shop or dealership.Read the full article [here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- 🐉 Rolls-Royce Announces Year of the Dragon Bespoke Commissions TLDR: Rolls-Royce has unveiled its “Year of the Dragon” Bespoke builds of its decadent vehicles for the upcoming Lunar New Year. Why It Matters: The collection is comprised of three Phantom Extended models and one Cullinan model, each integrating the dragon’s symbolic properties of power, prosperity and success. The Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective, a team of skilled artisans, has reimagined the dragon motif to offer a unique, contemporary expression of this iconic symbol, while still honoring its roots. The artistic centerpiece of each vehicle is a hand-painted dragon on the front passenger panels, brought to life through a meticulous process that spans over two weeks. The artwork utilizes a layered technique to create a three-dimensional effect, achieved by applying multiple hues of red, each meticulously lacquered to perfection. Let's cover performance first – the base Taycan is now .6 seconds faster, thus breaking the 5-second barrier and accomplishing 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. The Taycan Turbo S is even more impressive, tackling the speed in as little as 2.3 seconds.
