ð¥ RANKED: These Are Our Favorite Cars We Posted in 2023 TLDR: 2023 was a fantastic year for cars and we were graced with some really awesome releases, builds, restomods and more.â Naturally, we wanted to look back in awe of some of our favorite cars we posted. Why It Matters: Nothing scientific or calculated about these choices – the only criteria is that the cars must be physical cars, instead of digital renders. We were surprised that the year brought out a great selection of cars from multiple countries – Italy makes the list three times, all from one brand. But that's not to say there's no diversity, as the list includes Porsches, Toyotas, Hondas and more. ð Michael Jordan's Sleek 1991 BMW 850i Surfaces at Auction TLDR: Michael Jordan’s 1991 BMW 850i, purchased new and owned by the basketball legend until 1995 has surfaced at auction via Bring A Trailer. â Why It Matters: Dressed in a Mauritius Blue Metallic, this particular model was known for its luxurious interior and performance capabilities during its prime — it comes equipped with a 5.0L V12 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Additionally, it features 17-inch multi-piece AC Schnitzer wheels, adding a touch of sportiness to its sleek design. The car’s exterior boasts a range of features that nod to the 90s but also provide functionality, including pop-up headlights, fog lights and a power-operated sunroof. ð° One of Only 77 Porsche 935 IMSA Racers Hits the Auction Block TLDR: An extremely rare example of the 2019 Porsche 935, one of only 77 ever made, has been listed for auction. This exclusive model, known for its design and performance, was initially unveiled in celebration of Porsche‘s 70th anniversary.â Why It Matters: The 2019 Porsche 935 stands out with its exposed carbon-fiber-composite bodywork, complemented by Agate Gray roof pillars, providing a striking and modern look. The vehicle is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six engine, paired with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle, boasting a factory-rated output of 700 hp at 7,000 rpm and 553 lb-ft of torque. Optimized features included a racing-tuned limited-slip differential, Brembo slotted and ventilated disc brakes with adjustable bias and three-way adjustable dampers. ð Xiaomi Unveils SU7 EV, Designed By Former BMW and Mercedes-Benz Designers TLDR: Chinese automaker Xiaomi has unveiled the SU7, an all-electric sedan with a design backed by former designers of high end vehicles like BMW and Mercedes-Benz.â â Why It Matters: The SU7 comes in two varieties, a base and Max edition. Both feature proprietary Modena Architecture with 21,000 rpm HyperEngine electric motors – a single setup and dual-motor setup for the base and Max respectively. In terms of range, the SU7 Max has a range of up to 497 miles and a 0-100km/h acceleration of just 2.78s thanks to its 101kWh 800V high-voltage platform, beating both the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan Turbo. ð» A Very Rare, Highly Vintage Lamborghini LM002 Utility Truck Is Being Auctioned TLDR: A vintage 1991 Lamborghini LM002 has recently surfaced for auction via Bring A Trailer — a model from the automaker that rapper A$AP Rocky recently revealed in a Hypebeast interview as one of his dream cars.â â Why It Matters: The specific model up for auction is one of the approximately 300 LM002s produced between 1986 and 1993, representing a unique chapter in Lamborghini’s storied history, merging the luxury of a sports car with the rugged utility of an all-terrain vehicle. The LM002’s exterior, freshly repainted in white in 2022, showcases its distinctive, angular bodywork made of aluminum and fiberglass – a nod to its military vehicle roots. The design includes a cargo bed with jump seats, chrome bumpers, fog lamps and a fold-down tailgate, giving it a commanding presence.
