{NAME}, I can’t believe this. For almost a year, we’ve been in a legal battle against the financial giants doing the Left’s dirty work. As I’m sure you’ll recall, last year, MasterCard and Discover Card shut off our online fundraising without so much as a warning. And for months, we fought them tooth and nail to send a loud, clear message that conservatives like you and me would NOT be bankrupted into silence. We hired world renowned lawyer Harmeet Dhillon -- who you might recognize as a regular Fox News guest and her high profile cases fighting for conservatives like Ann Coulter and James Damore -- the former Google employee who exposed their bias against white men. I sat in countless meetings and spent hours on the phone with attorneys because I knew we couldn’t take this attack lying down. We had to fight back with everything we had, because it was bigger than me, my Freedom Center, or my friend and colleague Robert Spencer. This was about patriots like you -- and the country we were leaving behind for generations to come. We had to do everything in our power -- no matter how long it took or how much it cost. We looked long and hard at our legal options. But none of them worked. {NAME}, I’m still waiting on a briefing from my attorneys. But as of now, the lawsuit isn’t moving forward. I’m going to be honest with you -- this is a huge hit. We spent tens of thousands in legal fees on this case because we wanted to make sure corporations like MasterCard and Discover Card never got the chance to do to you what they did to us. But no matter how many different ways our legal team looked at it, there was no path to victory. I wanted nothing more than to win this crucial fight for patriots like you. If you’ve been involved in legal battles, you know that even with the truth and the best representation money can buy on your side, your case can still flop. But I do have good news. Last week, we filed demand letters against Left Wing hate groups that falsely labeled Robert Spencer a “white nationalist” in an effort to blacklist him and curtail his work exposing the truth about Jihad. And we won. They backed down and reversed course. And that was made possible by folks like you. So, while the lawsuit against MasterCard and Discover Card has reached a standstill, I hope I can count on your continued support. Because we may have lost this battle -- but we’re not surrendering. We’re regrouping. And we’ll need all the backup we can get in the months to come. Because if there’s anything decades in the trenches against the Left has taught me, it’s that the attacks of the past year are only the beginning. Thank you for all that you do.
