However there are no letters DOT anywhere on either tyre. A search tells me the letters DOT being present is a legal requirement in US and Michelin have recalled tyres previously because its missing. Are letters DOT also a UK legal requirement? One of the tyres has the date code only visible from the underside of the car. Is that usual? It's not sensible. I have a four year old Renault Kadjar with 40k on the clock and the clutch has failed, needs a flywheel and possible hydraulcs circa £2500! I drove it to its MoT fine and just mentioned a squeak from the clutch pedal, and now they say its undriveable! Will there be a problem with the battery (starting) when I return? Are there any precautions I should take before I park my car? I have read somewhere that hybrids don’t like to be left parked up for long periods. Ironically the person parked in the disabled bay goes to the gym. Is there any advice you could give me? Our Honda CR-V has been super reliable and we value that. The Jaguar I-Pace has superb reviews as a car and cost is good value used but lots of reports suggesting scary unreliability, build quality issues and problematic breakdown/repair support. How scared should we be of that? And should we get an alternative electric SUV instead? The car is in pristine condition, full comprehensive insurance with an MoT. The regulations state that if a car is repairable and insurable, the DVLA must issue a V5 and yet they refuse. The car, an Aston DBS was subjected to minor fresh water flooding. Is there any solution? I have looked at a couple, with the intention to buy for my son and this concerns me now. As with Covid etc there are many cars out there with missing history and I wonder whether garages would take note of using the correct oil with 100% increase in its costs over the alternative. Does anyone have experience of the recall in the UK and what a timing belt would cost? Also it must have enough grunt for overtaking on country roads when I get stuck behind someone trundling at 30mph! £15k budget and must be under 5 years old. My car at the moment is a Kia Picanto - I have it fully serviced every year. The car is now starting to go wrong so I would like to sell it and then buy another used car. I can afford maybe £3500. I would like something that is reliable so it doesn't keep failing the MoT and also doesn't go wrong out of the MoT. Could a used Suzuki or a Toyota be the best small car for me to buy?
