Since the car will be 6 years old in May 2025 can I tax my car for 6 months in Jan 2025 and pay 1/2 a years additional tax rate. What would i be paying for the 2nd 6 months? Would i still pay the additional tax rate even though the car is over 6 years old, or do i still pay the additional rate for the rest of the year? How does it work? I am an ADI and last year there were two incidents when my instructor car was hit by a third party. In both cases third party insurer accepted full responsibility and in both cases a pupil was driving at the time. On that basis do I need to declare these incidents when insuring my private use only car ? CSW equipment is different from SEU (Speed Enforcement Unit) equipment, which is why there is a slight difference. This is set the same across all but two police forces in the UK. The 'difference' is CSW 'speeders' are treated differently from offenders caught by Speed Enforcement Users (the police), with a warning letter, whereas SEU infringers can be convicted. The two treatments for speeding are anomalous. Are you aware of this variance?
