Can I appeal it due to the lateness of the issue - I was under the impression it was 14 days? The car is all good accept every time you go above the speed limit the car pings quite loudly and keeps pinging. Unfortunately the digital Speedo is 2 miles an hour fast. So it pings at 29 and not 31mph. You can turn it off until the next time you drive it starts pinging again. Yes we should not speed but is very annoying constantly being pinged for speeding at 29mph. Goodness knows what it will be like in a 20mph zone. Is the speed warning system now mandatory in all new cars? I have seen a Subaru Legacy that I like from what seems a reputable used car seller. However, I am a little petrified of the known Subaru cylinder head gasket issue of cars from that age. The car is a 2006 year 2.0 Legacy with only has 67k miles. It has 9 services and no rust / corrosion noted on any MoT. My question is regarding warranties. For a new Subaru in 2006 - what would the manufacturers warranty have been from Subaru? Would it still have a warranty due to low mileage? As I know Subaru had drivetrain warranties based on the head gasket issues. I tried googling this info but couldn't find the answer. Ideally the car would be a maximum of 6 years old. The key parameters I am trying to fill are cabin quietness/comfort and reliability. I would prefer for the car not to be electric. I drive around 25,000 miles a year, typically journeys are no more than 30 miles at a time. Can’t find the answer in the vehicle handbook. I know that there are companies that fit locks to commercial vehicles would they be able to accommodate my request? Why then am I penalised with higher premiums ? Insurance is in place but I can't tell DVLA in advance online as it won't let me. How do we change the V5C details and re-tax on the sale date as we'll both be in Spain in another vehicle. I'm wary of sending the V5C in case i need it for retaxing the car. Any help gratefully received. It's a 2016 manual with 15,500 miles and two owners plus a full BMW service history and excellent condition. Would you recommend the online auctions such as Collecting Cars, the more dealer focussed auctions such as Motorway, or another route? A year ago, when my driving licence was due for renewal, I was required by the DVLA to take an eyesight test. I failed this test on my peripheral vision and subsequently had to surrender my licence. Following a cataract operation my eyesight has improved to a level that I can now pass the test. Can I request a new test and the reinstatement of my licence if passed or do I have to start from scratch again by applying for a provisional licence etc [Read more →]( You received this email because you signed up to our mailing list.
