The car is all good accept every time you go above the speed limit the car pings quite loudly and keeps pinging. Unfortunately the digital Speedo is 2 miles an hour fast. So it pings at 29 and not 31mph. You can turn it off until the next time you drive it starts pinging again. Yes we should not speed but is very annoying constantly being pinged for speeding at 29mph. I have seen a Subaru Legacy that I like from what seems a reputable used car seller. However, I am a little petrified of the known Subaru cylinder head gasket issue of cars from that age. The car is a 2006 year 2.0 Legacy with only has 67k miles. It has 9 services and no rust / corrosion noted on any MoT. My question is regarding warranties. For a new Subaru in 2006 - what would the manufacturers warranty have been from Subaru? Would it still have a warranty due to low mileage? As I know Subaru had drivetrain warranties based on the head gasket issues. I tried googling this info but couldn't find the answer. A year ago, when my driving licence was due for renewal, I was required by the DVLA to take an eyesight test. I failed this test on my peripheral vision and subsequently had to surrender my licence. Following a cataract operation my eyesight has improved to a level that I can now pass the test.
