It is in excellent ondition with new new MG minilght wheels and Michelin energy tyres. Could you give me a realistic valuation if possible? Also, where is the best place to sell online? I need a replacement, up to £15000, auto, preferably petrol, and with room to get in behind the wheel as I’m not that agile. Obviously it has to be ULEZ compliant. Any suggestions? I don't have a driveway that can have a charging point as it is to far from the house and there is unlikely to be road side chargers where I live. Currently the nearest charging points are at supermarket 1 mile away but you can only leave the car the for 2 hours this would not be long enough to fully charge the battery. I've read that using a rapid charger all the time is not ideal as it could damage the batteries. I'm retired so charging at work is not an option. I can't see a way forward other than leaving the car at the supermarket for two hours walking home then going back to collect it. At the time was living 200 miles from the dealer. Car is not yet built and is not scheduled for build until August. I have only subsequently visited the dealer in person to advise a change of address. I have not signed any forms on their premises. I now wish to cancel the order. What are my rights in relation to return of the £500 deposit? I find this hard to believe. Is this true? In the last four weeks, despite frequent driving with some long journeys, I've received repeated 12v low battery warnings while parked for a few minutes with the multi media system on listening to the radio. The Toyota garage seems unable to resolve or understand, only suggesting trickle charging. I like the car, but have given up on getting a satisfactory resolution. My concerns is the car won't start after a week or so parked. The forums are full of other owners having issues. The new courtesy car lent to me also has the same issue. Do you think I am in my rights to reject the car? He is moving to Japan but is visiting the UK for a few weeks and will want to drive our car. The UK licence has his old uk address on and he is not strictly a UK resident. What is the best way to legally proceed so that he can drive our car with our insurers permission please? Currently the Jaguar F-Type requires a new bonnet, airbag actuators, hinges, mounting plate plus sensors costing approximately £15000 including labour. Surely parts should be repairable at reasonable cost? [Read more →]( [Has stop/start had its day?]( Posted by on 3 June, 2024 Has stop/start had its day? There doesn't seem to be many cars using the system now. So I filled in the fine details explaining I do not own this car, sent it back in the self addressed envelopes and heard nothing more about it. This year I got two more fines for the same car, I did the same sent them back and a few weeks later the same two fines came back. I did the same again sent them back, I also emailed Manchester fines department, tried phoning them but it was a voicemail saying the inbox is full. Now just waiting to see what happens if they come back again should I go to my local police station and get them to sort it out? If they are coming to me I assume I am the registered owner on the v5 logbook which seems strange. Why don't the police put the car reg on ANPR and stop the car to see who is driving and explain why they have not registered the car? The modification included a lowered fuel tank which now protrudes c.3inches below the visible body and, when driving it, she regularly grounds on speed bumps. She has already cracked the tank and had it repaired. This doesn't seem safe to me as the fuel tank is fully exposed to any object on the ground. Neither the dvla or the mot checks seem to anticipate anyone would expose a fuel tank this way, they merely suggest that "unsafe" modifications may be illegal. What are your thoughts on this? When I bought it I was getting around 19MPG for short city journeys we rarely use it for motorway driving but on the occasion we did it went up to around 31MPG but has since gone down to around 10 MPG for short city driving. Unfortunately I may have damaged another vehicle when reversing. I will of course notify my insurance company. As I will not be making a claim for my own car will I still be liable for the policy excess? When the insurance for my other vehicle is due must I declare a previous claim on a different policy? However, I have a clean licence and would like to drive outside the city. How could I manage this, borrowing friends, family or hire cars and be insured? He had taken a wrong turning and was going from a 40mph zone to a 30mph zone on an unfamiliar road. He has had a clean driving licence for more than 30 years. Is there any advantage stating these facts in a covering letter when returning the FPN please? That gap in time doesn’t make it any easier to remember who was driving the car at 9am in the morning on this section of dual carriageway. Also there was supposed to be photographic/ video evidence but having put in the date of offence, the 16 numbered code and the pin no. there are no pictures/video. What should I do?
