That is why I gravitate towards creating a very specific type of information product that requires absolutely ZERO experience, expertise, or special skills. I call them: COMPILATION INFO-PRODUCTS. One example are recipe eBooks like I demonstrated in an email a few days ago. Compilation info-products are merely a collection of short topic-specific blurbs all centered around a larger category. All you have to do is gather these blurbs into one big eBook and make your own compilation info-product. Now, Iâm not telling you to swipe other peopleâs content here. Thatâs not what this is. I used to have to find these myself, rewrite them myself, and compile them all into one big eBook myself. Thanks to AI tools like ChatGPT, thatâs no longer something I have to do myself. Itâs a beautiful thing. With the right prompt, including very specific instructions⦠ChatGPT can have your entire 200+ page eBook created in no time at all! Now, maybe youâre wondering, who would buy something like this? Well, this isnât anything new⦠Very smart, old-school direct response marketers have been selling these types of info-products for DECADES. Check this out: Every single one of those books are compilation info-products, including one from yours truly ;). Bottom Line Books, Boardroom Publishing, and Jerry Baker are just a handful of brilliant, old-school direct response marketers. Letâs take Jerryâs Supermarket Super Gardens book for example⦠Itâs a compilation of gardening hacks using supermarket items. Hereâs a page showing some hacks with hydrogen peroxide: Thatâs literally what the entire book looks like, aside from a few black and white clip art graphics lol! How are these old-school books sold? Using something called magalogs. Theyâre little booklets mailed out (via direct mail) that look like this: The one on the right is selling Jerryâs Supermarket Super Gardens book. Hereâs how it looks inside: Thereâs some dang-good copywriting in here but donât let that hold you back from doing this. You start with one eBook, in one niche⦠Use something like ChatGPT to do all the busywork in creating the eBook and the simple sales letter⦠Then you get some instant exposure to it by running really basic ads online. These ads could be on Google, Facebook (Meta), Microsoft (Bing/Yahoo), Pinterest, Quora, or anywhere really. The traffic source is NOT the secret. Because you can switch the traffic source on the fly and still make this work. Iâm gonna say this again because itâs super important and everyone gets hung on this⦠The traffic source is NOT the secret to starting and running a successful info-publishing business.
