In the meantime, we’re getting the equipment ready. You can plan as much as you want, but Mother Nature calls the shots. I gotta tell ya, I love this time of year — sure, it is a bit stressful with all the work we have to get done. But getting my hands in the soil and running the tractor for 16 hours a day really grounds me. With some hard work and a little luck, we will set ourselves up for a good harvest. In fact, the work Sharla and I do on the farm is kind of like the campaign we’re running. Fundraising early helps plant the seeds of our campaign so that we can continue to grow our movement and, ultimately, come home with a successful harvest on Election Day.
