In today’s digital world, it’s important we’re reaching voters everywhere. That obviously includes TV, but also anywhere we can run digital ads online. My team and I have decided to get creative, and not just run ads on Facebook or Instagram (more on those strategies later). We want to make sure that when people in my district search for information on me, they aren’t just reading all the Republican attacks and lies - we need them to know the truth. That’s where these new google search ads come in. Now, when someone googles my name or even “who is the most vulnerable Democrat in California” they’ll be served an ad that directs them right to my website to give them the truth. These Google ads are also incredibly effective in another way - they are much more targeted and thus, inexpensive. Only people living in my district will see them, so we don’t have to pay for ads anywhere else. TV is the exact opposite - everyone in the entire Sacramento media market gets served TV ads (one of the main reasons TV is so expensive). These Google ads mean we can actually get in front the correct voters at a much cheaper price! We believe this is an incredibly smart investment, but as I mentioned earlier, we’re still trying to raise another $10,000 by the end of May so we can keep these ads up.
