[Get your parts today!]( [3602421454791242043.png] Wednesday, September 11, 2024 [Micro Slot Machine Uses Limit Switch As Handle >>]( Let the Judging Begin! As I write this, there are just a few hours left to enter the 2024 Tiny Games Contest. And, as usual, some really great last-minute entries are pouring in, some of which you'll see featured below. We'll get the results out as soon as possible! Keep those soldering irons hot, because we're already two weeks into [the Supercon Add-on (SAO) Contest!]( This is your chance to take the existing SAO standard we all know and love, and make it do something besides blink a few LEDs. More info about the badge is coming soon. [Enter the 2024 SAO Contest today!]( Thanks to the I2C interface in the header, add-ons can communicate both with the badge and each other. Winners will get their SAO put into production and distributed to all attendees at Hackaday Europe 2025. Your deadline for this one is October 15th, so [head over to IO to read the rules and get started](. Speaking of Supercon, how would you like to [lend us your unique display tech]( for a bit? It'll be on display in the Supplyframe DesignLab throughout Supercon and the month of November. [You have until September 16th to let us know](. Don't forget, [tickets for Supercon 2024 are on sale now!]( Join us November 1st through 3rd in sunny Pasadena, CA for three days of talks, workshops, demos, and the best sort of shenanigans you can imagine. [Whether this is your first time or your fifth, we can't wait to see you there](. Highlights from the IO POPULAR BITS [project thumbnail]( [NEURODOTS Does It With RGB LEDs]( This puzzle style, originally 3D-printed, has a new look with RGB LEDs that you move around with buttons to form four 2x2 grids, one of each color. [KI Manufaktur]'s upgrade also includes the option of solution hints that are generated using a NN on the RP2040. [project thumbnail]( [Keychain Tiny Game Keeps You Entertained]( This bad boy uses an ATttiny25 to drive 16 Charlieplexed LEDs and is powered by a coin cell. Gameplay is simple -- press the button when the moving LED reaches the stationary LED. Just don't keep it in the same pocket as your phone. [project thumbnail]( [ATtiny Tetromino Is a Cheap, Cheerful Clone]( What a lovely second-ever PCB! And the $10 BOM ain't bad, either. ATtiny Tetromino is built on the ATtiny85 and inspired by another project, and [Franco] made several mods to the game itself, including a 7-bag randomizer, speed improvements, and new fonts. [JawnCon 0x1 - Oct 11-12]( "Jawn" is a Philly-area noun that refers to a thing, place, person, or event which one cannot give a specific name. That alone makes it sound intriguingly awesome, right? Right. And with CTFs, a Retro Show 'n Tell, a curmudgeon CTF, and representation by members of TOOOL, you know it will be. [Maker Faire Bay Area - Oct 18-20]( This is your chance to make, inquire, and learn in the place where it all started. Friday is Field Trip Day, with General Admission days on Saturday and Sunday. Come for the amazing robots and builds, and stay for the cutting-edge technologies. [The Hackaday Superconference - Nov 1-3]( Supercon is by far the most awesome hardware hacker con of the year, and if you love Hackaday, you definitely want to be there. Honestly, just the crowd that Supercon brings together is reason enough to attend, but then you throw in the talks, the badge-hacking, the food, and the miscellaneous shenanigans... it's an event you really don't want to miss.
