[FOLLOW GROUNDWORK]( ICYMI: The Organizing Accelerator program is a new Groundwork + NAACP partnership to train the next generation of civil rights and social justice organizers. We have our first cohort ready to go and this weekend they are meeting in person for the first time! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store for our Fellows: - An opening discussion with NAACP President Derrick Johnson, former Congressman (and Groundwork Project founder!) Joe Kennedy III, & Senior Advisor to the Accelerator & Groundwork Tracey Lewis – moderated by the Boston Globe’s Marcela Garcia - A jam-packed training schedule on everything from storytelling in organizing to self-care and movement history - Lots of networking events with each other, the Accelerator team, the Groundwork & NAACP teams and organizing friends from across MA - Some fun site visits across Boston to share pieces of our city’s rich history! I can’t tell you how excited we are to get this program off the ground and meet our amazing cohort of future organizers face-to-face this weekend.
